Wonderful! Mr. Peace, you are truly a horseman first! Lovely horse and well done to the owners for investigating all of the possible physical reasons for her behavior and ruling that out first!

£8k on lameness work ups and no one thought to check the saddle? I am shocked and saddened to see this. A decent equine vet should look at the whole horse and this includes saddle fit. However there’s an argument to say that the horses feet, teeth, back and saddle should have been checked by a suitably qualified professional before referring for lameness. I think this owner has been badly let down by their professionals. This must have been one of Michael’s easier cases to deal with.

Incredible transition from being shut down and tight to a beautiful roundness, engagement from being and suppleness.
    Very impressive!!!!!!!❤

I have a horse with similar issues and have done similar techniques to get him going. Usually if I can get the hind legs moving with a turn on the forehand or even a disengage he will then move forward and develop better responsiveness. Please put protective brushing boots on the hind legs to protect her when she moves sideways. Several times she almost hit herself. My horse sustained a medial suspensory branch injury on his left hind from knocking himself going sideways too fast. And also a strain on a lateral suspensory branch on his right hind trying to protect his left after the injury. That was several thousand dollars of platelet rich plasma injections and laser therapy with a stall lay up. I wish I had protected him from himself with boots. Now I don't do ground work or ride without them.

My lesson horses can get like this with students who kick and then yank right after they ask to go, oversteer, or don’t use their legs with good timing, instead of using their seat more often.
Also, if a student is fearful, many times my horses would rather stay still.

Rising trot would help instead of sitting all the time.

Check out Ryan Rose and Pear Tree Ranch if you want to see people truly fix horses and understand. This whole video seems like a joke. NO ONE had enough brains to check the equipment? You shouldnt own a horse if you dont know that. Poor horse.

Watch Ryan Rose's training videos. More ground work instead of just hopping back on and wearing her down. Connect with her ❤

'Natural' horsemanship has nothing to do with connecting, and everything to do with very basic use of operant conditioning techniques. You cannot make any meaningful connection in under an hour, it takes months to really connect with a horse.
