I’ve seen two stacked dots going back to Emile Jacques-Dalcroze (his 20 caprices and rhythmic studies, which have sone examples of this, AND EVEN A TRIPLE STACKED DOT ON A WHOLE NOTE TO REPRESENT NINE EIGHTHS, were published in 1920!)
Another way to do it is to use a slightly larger holed dot in place of the regular dot (like the diminished symbol), but again it is a new concept and would take time for acceptance into practice.
I think my favourite solution of these is the last one - just use a half note to mean a whole measure. It's close enough and adds less noise to the page :)
I guess I wasn't clear enough in the video-I don't go to Juilliard (at least not yet!), but one of my Juilliard-trained professors told me about this augmentation dot, which he learned while there.
Thank you!!! This just so happens to be the exact Note i'm looking for to use in an arrangement i'm working on. keep it up :)

And since this is not a note included into MuseScore i can't put n:5 tuplets inside of an other tuplet...🤔😕
If you do a search for "quinary note" on Norton, this video is at the top of the search list!

Damn, I was going to tell you about Rautavaara in a comment, but you beat me to it!
Did you photoshop a wojack on Shostakovich's face lol

Thank you for sharing that. If you went to Juilliard somehow I knew before this video.

Can't see any good reason why this shouldn't exist but just need enough composers to stick to their guns.
