Great lesson and if you move your first finger from the F# to the F natural for the first shape, its an maj 7 - another beautiful chord which is movable.
Hi Jimmy, Happy New Year to you too! Thanks for another lesson - like you say, there's a lot to work on in this one. I just thought of you today because I saw a really cool old picture of Jimmy Page playing a Cromwell (looks like a slightly fancier version of yours). I don't know if I'll be able to send the link without youtube counting it as spam (but will paste it as a reply to this comment). Super cool looking guitar!
An excellent, generous lesson as always Jimmy.
This is a tremendous lesson. Thank you SO much.
Thanks for watching, I hope you find it useful! 🎸🎸

That’s very true, and therefore true for all of the other inversions too! 🎸
So from Am 6 moving one finger changes 1st shape to an FMaj 7 ?
i was thinking it was Am6 , change back F# x finger to F made it an Am7.. am i wrong ?
Good stuff Jimmy. Lots of ideas here thanks.
Thanks for watching, let me know how you get on! 🎸
Really well structured lesson
Thank you very much for watching 🎸
How about a lesson or two on taking these chord/melody concepts and applying them to a simple tune to structure up a solo interpretation?
That’s a very good idea yes, thanks for the suggestion I’ll see what I can come up with 🎸
Yeah
Maybe a simple jazz song for practical application of Am6 4 positions.
Great site.
Well presented.
Overall cool
Would recommend.
Amazing bro ❤❤
Thanks for watching! 🎸
Thank you, filling in the gaps ❤
Thanks for watching, hope it’s useful! 🎸
