Great lesson as always. I am endlessly fascinated with triad pairs and yet it's a tool I haven't quite integrated into my playing so this is great reminder. And the backing track makes practice a blast!
Great lesson and if you move your first finger from the F# to the F natural for the first shape, its an maj 7 - another beautiful chord which is movable.
Hi Jimmy, there's a lot going on in this video, which is a bit too much input for me. Will this be shown in more detail in several videos on your members channel on your website? I would love to learn more.
Hi Jimmy, Happy New Year to you too! Thanks for another lesson - like you say, there's a lot to work on in this one. I just thought of you today because I saw a really cool old picture of Jimmy Page playing a Cromwell (looks like a slightly fancier version of yours). I don't know if I'll be able to send the link without youtube counting it as spam (but will paste it as a reply to this comment). Super cool looking guitar!
@@LearnGuitarWithJimmyBrewer Looks like my comment link wasn't posted after all. Anyway, it seems like lots of places have the picture up... you can search for "Jimmy Page Cromwell guitar" and you'll see it. Definitely don't see many of them around - at least not in the States. I had never heard of them until seeing yours and reading up on them a bit.

Thanks a lot, I hope you get some good use from this stuff! 🎸
That's a deep theory lesson, Jimmy. Beautiful. Im now off to devour the lesson on improving internal time
Thank you, I hope you find some use for this 🎸
This is a tremendous lesson. Thank you SO much.

An excellent, generous lesson as always Jimmy.

Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it 🎸keep me posted
@@LearnGuitarWithJimmyBrewer This and the last diminished lesson are worked in to my playing. Really useful interesting stuff. Thanks a lot.
Thanks Master!!!
Thanks for watching! 🎸

That’s very true, and therefore true for all of the other inversions too! 🎸
So from Am 6 moving one finger changes 1st shape to an FMaj 7 ?
i was thinking it was Am6 , change back F# x finger to F made it an Am7.. am i wrong ?
If you move it up to a G it would be Am7, yes. If you move it down to an F you would get Fmaj7 🎸
Really well structured lesson
Thank you very much for watching 🎸
Thank you, filling in the gaps ❤
Thanks for watching, hope it’s useful! 🎸
Good stuff Jimmy. Lots of ideas here thanks.
Thanks for watching, let me know how you get on! 🎸
Absolutely delicious.
Thanks for watching! 🎸
Amazing bro ❤❤
Thanks for watching! 🎸
How about a lesson or two on taking these chord/melody concepts and applying them to a simple tune to structure up a solo interpretation?
That’s a very good idea yes, thanks for the suggestion I’ll see what I can come up with 🎸
Yeah
Maybe a simple jazz song for practical application of Am6 4 positions.
Great site.
Well presented.
Overall cool
Would recommend.
