Hi?I don't know you but Incase you didn't manange to get into Unam som cos it's the only varsity offering medicine in the country so far and competition is tough ...don't give up on your dreams...abroad is the key...💪Zambia, Kenya etc...cheaper universities in Africa that NSFAF funds ......
what about a case where i have competed my GR 12 and applied for nursing and a second course... because i was not informed we only had two options.... in addition, as i was applying online the option for medicine was not appearing in the options...so i got accepted into Nursing... but would still like to study medicine .... Is there perhaps a way for me to change to medicine during a time such as this, ?? i do qualify for the course with (37 points on NSSCAS in 5 subjects) ... but i just want to ask if i can change to Medicine as soon as we get our final results.... or if there is nothing else to do in this case.
Good day, I have a question. I did not study medicine in Namibia, but I would like to do a medical internship in Namibia. Do foreign medical graduates do medical internship in Namibia? For how many years is the medical internship in Namibia?
Hi, I'm angolan and my sister would like to study medicine at UNAM. But, the problem is that UNAM wasnt accepting angolan students. I would like to know if they are now accepting angolan students
When I looked at the NUST evaluation scale the Angolan certificate is equivalent to our ordinary level certificate, which is grade 11 here. Your sister will need to do AS level, which is grade 12 for her to be accepted. If your sister is patient maybe she can enroll at a secondary school or tutorial centre here and do her AS level and during her AS level year, she'll then apply to Unam. Alternatively, she can try places like Zambia where they accept ordinary level certificates. But then she'll do an extra year called pre-med or something like that and only then will she be able to do medicine.
@@M_KK thank you so much for your response and information. I actually studied in Namibia, particularly at NUST. The upgrades are not a problem. The problem is that during that time, foreigners were not accepted in unam med school. I want to know if they are accepting now
@xavierjeremiasjoaquimdiang320 from the videos I've seen on the medical school IG page regarding their international students, yes they do accept foreign students. There are students from Angola, Eswatini, Zimbabwe, South Africa etc.
Hey there. Dentistry requirements are outlined in the UNAM prospectus. Kindly find the prospectus (a document that outlines the requirements into health courses) (Titled: 2023 Admission guide, Faculty of Health Sciences and Veterinary Medicine) on www.unam.edu.na
Yes it is, as long as you have science subjects including physics. You don’t need to have both chemistry and physics, you can either have physics or chemistry, not necessarily both
very informative video but i have questions one of them being that is it a must for me to strictly have 5 subjects on AS if i want to take medicine and is it a must for me to have english on AS too
Hey there✨ To get into medicine from pharmacy you need to apply into medicine at the same time with the other candidates during the application period. And to be considered you need to meet the medicine requirements.
What type of psychology can I study to become a psychiatrist at UNAM? What are the entry requiments? I have 35 points in 6 subjects with a C in english.
Hey there🙂 Psychiatry is a specialization that one can do only after they have completed a medical degree, and have completed internship. Then you can go and specialize in psychiatry. The entry points mentioned in the video are the requirements you need to be eligible for selection, only after completion can you then take on a specialization
Thank you so much for watching 🙏🏽 By returning do you mean that you are enrolled/registered into Medicine and then decided to leave for a moment, but would now like to return to finish? If yes, then you will need to see the Management of the school and present your case/requests. They will take it up from there as to what the final decision will be. Bear in mind that the length of time you were away for plays a role in the decision making, so the sooner the better.
Hey there, this depends if you have English and math or not. It’s okay to have either physics or chemistry, it’s not a requirement to have both. But as long as you meet the other subject requirements as mentioned in the video ✨

Hey there, The School only considers grade 12 candidates, not grade 11. Surgery is within the medical degree “Bachelor of medicine and Surgery (MBCHB)” and not particularly on it’s own, unless you choose to go specialize in Surgery after completing the required years of training +internship

What is someone did NCCO/H 6 years ago and they are currently doing nursing, they won’t be able to get in?
Can i get transferred from Pharmacy to Medicine without meeting the requirements on NASCAS level?
Hey there✨
To get into medicine from pharmacy you need to apply into medicine at the same time with the other candidates during the application period.
And to be considered you need to meet the medicine requirements.
Hiii, about the transfer, do I apply with the same method and same time as the grade 12 or where do I get the application form, please help 🙏
Hey, I want to understand clearly
I'm a first year nursing student and I want to transfer to medicine next year, is that possible

How many students are taken in for the degree per year?
From last time it’s 80 students and sometimes just slightly above that.
Hi I am from Namibia doing NSSCAS but having only Biology,Chemistry,Mathematics and English can I still apply for MEDICINE?
Hey there, yes can apply. Those subjects in total meet the requirements criteria. Also just pay attention to the points per subject required🙏🏼
Please what about returning students? Is there application fees that need to be made?
