Just stumbled upon your channel, I’m 62 years old and TRULY enjoyed your work, I come from a long life of hot rods and anything motorized that goes fast having Ed Roth and his work has inspired all my builds. Seeing you doing this today is a godsend because this craft along with other artists is a dying era, BUT through you and others like you who have decided to venture out and offer your teaching and expertise, gives me hope that not all is lost. THANK YOU AGAIN!! And I’ll DEFINITELY be subscribing and possibly reaching out for you to restore some items that I’m presently working on. Thanks again 🙏🏼💯🤙🏼
Stumbled on your Zephyr steering wheel video and then found my way to your channel. Amazing work of a true craftsman! Please keep making videos, I’ve already learned an incredible amount from only the 2 videos you’ve shared to date. And thanks for keeping your informative videos simple and to the point!
I haven’t thought about using a polishing compound to get rid of those small scratches before. Another little thing that makes a huge difference! As much as I HATE spiders, that looks extremely cool! I sure hope there are people like you around in another 50+ years. Hope you keep making more videos!🙏 Your knowledge and step-by-step instructions are invaluable.
I put my bugs & spiders in a condiment container (with a tight lid)for a couple of months with a few pieces of paper towel to absorb moisture. They don’t shrivel up and they look pretty. Before I put them in resin I use a good quality hairspray to seal them up for air bubbles or fine hairs that air bubbles hang on to. I did use UV resin but I quit bc it only took a couple of hours in the sunshine to yellow it. You could probably varnish it with some light tapping from a very small soft brush. So far extra hold hairspray has been the best option for me. I use spiders and bugs I find around the house and yard that are already expired ☠️ crazy once I started looking for them how many were around under low cabinets and in the garage in the cracks between shelves and so on.. tweezers and a little container with bits of paper towel 😂😂 what fun!!
Yours is correct, but many people won't believe it is a black widow unless they see a red "hourglass" on the body. What they don't realize is that the hourglass is in the spider's ventral surface. From a marketing standpoint, consider offering the hourglass on the dorsal surface. Oh, by the way, I am in awe of your knowledge and skills!
thank you for the comment. I have an oven that I use.when need. I will be recording a video on the use of an oven, vacuum chamber and pressure tank in an upcoming video.
Lord please let this craft get passed on to another generation. Sir, you are a craftsman and a treasure.
Good job mate, just the right amount of talking & no music 👍

Awesome work and explanation... i think one could 3D print small objects or logos and put inside thanks for sharing your lifetime knowledge ❤
Very true!
It's a pleasure to watch such meticulous high standard work. Also like presentation Commentary and no music.

You explained it perfectly with a few good tips from experience. I've never done that before and found the pressure pot a good idea. I'll be back. 👍
Thanks! I will be posting more videos soon.
Can't wait for more. Incredible workmanship.

Thrilled to watch a master at work. Thank you for posting them.
Well this is just a revelation, quite fantastic.
Instead of making a mock spider, how would a real one work?

You are correct, better with hourglass. However, hard to get them live. When they die all legs curl up.
Perfect and educative.
This is really cool.
Nice 👍
Nice! Can you give us a link to some of the products? Resins, polyvinyl mould materials, vacuum chamber, etc?
Check out Smooth on out of Allentown, PA. As for vacuum degaser check ebay
Super cool video!!! Thank you for sharing....I looked up Knobsoup and I could not find a website..Where do you sell your parts my friend??...-John
My website is a placement only. Most of my orders come from restoration houses thru word of mouth.
Awesome 👍
Appreciate the comment.
I would love to order one with a redback spider
As a Cricut user try strong bond or maybe even regular transfer tape.
As I watched the packing became transfer tape. I do believe real transfer tape would work better for you.
Question: What polishing compound do you use on the epoxy resin?
McGuires - didn't watch far enough
Warm the mold up with a hair dryer.

You need to look into UV acrylics..
Хорошая работа. Молодец
