Thank you very much for this video.
I am an absolute fan of Space:1999 and I want to express my total thanks to Mr. Gerry Anderson who created this series.
Space:1999 (first season) was, in my opinion, the best sci-fi TV series.
Thanks you Mr. Anderson for what you created by involving writers, directors, actors, guest stars, set designers, model designers and special effects.
I discovered UFO after Space:1999 and it was a very good series too.
    Space:1999 for ever!

I saw UFO as a youngster and thought it was a fantastic and very creative series. When Space 1999 came out I was expecting something as good. Even way back then I was disappointed with the show and only a few episodes grabbed me. Now; over 50 years later, I still feel the same way after rewatching both shows. UFO is superior on so many levels. Actors, script, atmosphere, storylines, costuming and sets. Even the beginning and end titles with the superb music by Barry Gray is a joy to listen to. A show way ahead of its time. Such a pity a 2nd season never happened.

No parallel and similitude can be done between UFO and SPACE-1999 . UFO concept and realization was been better and better and...best !!

My dad worked for the Rank Organisation who owned Pinewood at that time. I got to walk through the set for UFO and was at the same lunch table as the cast. I think I was about 14 and sat opposite one of the Purple haired ladies. I was so dumbstruck I can't even remember which one it was.

Love that UFO theme. UFO came on after school back in the late 1970s in the U.S.

I loved the show, but man dad had control of the TV and I think I saw only three or four episodes all the way through.

Yeah, here's another big question: how long would it take to see an actual "Sid ' in operation...this would get us alot closer to answer the big question, "are we really alone". 🤔

      We're well beyond that.
Voyager I and II were launched in 1977, and they're still out there functioning. They passed out of the Solar System in 2012 and 2018, respectively, and are now out in interstellar space.
You could actually go back to Pioneer 10 in 1972 as the first "SID", but we lost contact with that probe in 2003

That’s what annoyed me back then with respect we had to rely on America but what about the fans here I would of loved a new and updated UFO,it would of been less far fetched than space 1999 maybe Martin landu could of been chosen to be Ed straker second in command ,a real shame 😢

Ed Bishop doesn't sound British, no accent, I've deployed with the British, sounds different.
