Looking at this, it’s clear now why LVMH went with Hedi . Phoebes clothes are beautiful, but they are just not that accessible - only a certain kind of woman ie the power lady could pull this off.
Phoebe Philo design's were for all kind of woman.The very skinny proportions and the very vintage clothings created by Mr Slimane make women looking very old and sickly
Erm not really, she decided to leave the brand after like 10 years. Celine under Pheobe was probably one of the most successful brand reinventions of the century. The clothes were aspirational but sold very well and there was leather goods and accessories which made lots and lots of money.
@@Mal1050E Yeah, but the sale of Phoebe's clothes plateaued. And she didn't want to do a mens line, she didn't want to do perfume and she didn't want to do a couture line. So, when it came time to renew her contract, LVMH just let her go and brought in someone who would do all the things listed above and essentially triple what Phoebe made for them.
