I would recommend using a Frixion pen to mark lines on your fabric instead of a permanent marker. That permanent marker lines Eleanor made are not going to come off of the cutting mat. With a Frixion pen, the lines disappear when touched with a hot iron. Also, those black lines do not disappear when the blocks are cut. They may show through any white or light colored fabric blocks after being pressed.
