The wikileaks video that came out several years ago with a helicopter was shooting down unarmed people in the streets came a really big news thing The soldier that pulled the children out of the van lives here in Wichita Kansas and I've heard him speak a few times.
He talked about how he was feeling He's going through all these emotions and his comrades didn't care they humiliated him called him names and all kinds of stuff when he was thinking about those kids like his kids.
If you can listen to him speak he went through the same thing even went back to Iraq to see those two children and the mother was so thankful that he saved them but it was sad that the boy that he's saved and some years later was killed in car bomb that went off

I have proudly served in the United States Army and achieved the rank of Master Sergeant. Over my 34 years of service, I experienced significant events like the end of the Cold War, Desert Storm, and Iraqi Freedom. I am appalled by the current state of our nation. It is unacceptable that, after dedicating my life to protecting the Constitution and defending the United States against all enemies, both foreign and domestic, we are now confronting widespread corruption and the frightening prospect of presidentially sanctioned violence. We deserve better than this.

It’s funny how all leftists are either veterans or a family member who telepathically communicates with one. All of the stated “veterans” are super elite. Virtually none of them were ordinary servicemen.
Hint: We don’t say the things you suburban lefties say on social media. None of us are hailing from progressive families living in exclusive suburban gated communities. We tend to be right of center. SEALs, Green Berets, Delta, PJs, etc… are a very tiny portion of the military. The bulk of veterans are working skilled trades related jobs (everything from electricians to diesel mechanics or health care related specialties). Overall we aren’t even 2% of the population!

So many are down right volatile. I know both sides do bad things, but I'm appalled that the right justifies the riot on Jan 6, where police and others were over powered, hurt and killed. To take away the rights of women and how minorities are treated is just despicable. Imagine, being a minority walking out the front door wondering if the police are going to attack you for no reason. There are still plenty of men - and women - like that here in the USA. Don't give up on us. After all, Trump did NOT win 50% of the popular vote, and many millions of voters for some reason or other decided not to vote at all in the 2024 elections. Things can swing around quickly. Remember this: In the 2020 election, President Biden won the popular vote by 7 million over Donald Trump. Trump didn't win a "mandate" in the 2024 election by eeking out a "victory" with 2 million popular votes in JUST THE RIGHT STATES. He's already causing deep regret in hundreds of thousands of people who voted for him. Democracy is always at risk, and always a chance. We don't give up because we lost an election, and because of how our Congress is structured in the Constitution, Trump won't be able to get his way on a majority of things he is told to do by his billionaire masters.

It's so hard to accept that it's ok to be vulnerable, or that getting help isn't a sign of weakness, but of strength, especially in a world that still often pigeonholes men in the role of protector/provider. I wish we would hold up as role models more examples of men accepting help, ceding power, nurturing, & having work/life balance, instead of narrowing our concept to something that resembles toxic masculinity. Our vets especially deserve better.

    Narcissists don't have empathy.
Millions of people (victims & survivors) around the world suffer in silence and shattered lives from this abuse from a narcissist ie. spouse, parent, work or just watch the news.

With empathy, you take on their perspective and feelings. If someone is anxious, then you feel anxious. If the other person is in pain, then so are you. As discussed above, if you take on too much of someone else's pain, it can lead to apathy, depression, anxiety, and a lowered desire to help the other person in need.

My past boyfriend held up & took over Panama, and then was sent to the Gulf "after" the Gulf War to fulfill his nine kills ordered by our government. He lived with me for 7 years because he couldn't afford to live on his own. He and his battalion died of the chemicals that were used around them by the US government. He was an anti-war activist here in Los Angeles. He suffered severe PTSD , which I could have had him incarcerated for. He died of cancer in 2019. RIP MJ.

How wonderful to hear from a man who was able to see through his ego. I was married to a Marine who couldn’t love me for my input into our marriage. He had an anger (PTSD) that controlled him. We were married 37 years. A marriage is a lot of work. I miss who I loved and believed in. He isn’t happy in his second marriage… And, I am too old to worry about him, anymore.

I am a Gulf War veteran. I try daily not to swear at DJT! He has no idea what it means to have empathy! Its apparent that his Narcissism is a sickness and its real! literally it is the in ability to have empathy. I have to say the experience of the military trainings I had to go through ( I am female veteran ) were life changing and gave me a different perspective on humanity. But ultimately we have a generation of men who only feel masculinity at the gym and through watching Joe Rogan podcast oh and propaganda FOX NEWS. I hope DJT makes the military or civil service a mandatory 2 year part of being an American citizen. But I won't hold my breath because we can't even get 1/4 of the country to vote. Loved this episode it made me reflect on my own journey. Daily Gratitude to you Ben and friends!
