- Its my first trip to Gloucester, so Paul from the channel West Country Wanderings, who is a local, gives me a guided tour and shares some fascinating facts! We left SO much untouched and unseen, so I will return for sure!

Very nice video. Nice place. 🙂🍀
What a stunning place Gloucester is, you were lucky to have Paul as your guide. It is definitely worth another visit. Thanks for this video & the blue skies.
Another interesting production from Louise and Paul, definitely a class double act. 🙂
Thank you Jonathan! 🤗
Great video Louise. It’s absolutely amazing what you can discover in your own country
That’s so true Tommy! So much to explore on our doorstep! I will never run out of places in the South West to explore!
Thankyou for that video, Louise
My pleasure Michael!
Thank you Louise and Paul. Really enjoyed this ❤
Thank you 🤗
Looks like an incredible city. I would love to visit sometime. So much history. ❤ Really enjoyed listening to you and Paul.
Really interesting video, I've never been to Gloucester so interesting to see what's there and Paul is a fountain of knowledge, thank you both for showing us around!
Thanks Jesse!! It’s such a nice place and I only scratched the surface! Totally agree about Paul being a fountain of knowledge!!
Another lovely relaxing virtual tour of somewhere I’ve never been Louise! I had no idea these Docklands exist - also love how you say you don’t have much info about the area but you pointed out loads including a great Disney fact! Always fab to see Paul and love your collabs !! I still have some catching up to do but looking forward to doing that this week !
Thank you Alex!! It was a lovely relaxing one to make too! Haha! That’s true! I didn’t feel like I had many facts to share, but they accumulated! Thanks so much for the compliment and I hope you enjoy some more videos and some relaxing time this week 🤗
Loved the music that you used on the Mariners Chapel sequence Louise.
The food in The Barge Restaurant was fab!
Yes, there is so much to see in the docks area of Gloucester.
Glad you enjoyed your day there wandering around Gloucester.
It was a real privilage making videos with you this weekend.
Take care,
Paul
Ah! Thank you Paul!! It was a nice piano version of Onward Christian Soldiers! Yes, the food was really good! Very homely!
It was a privilege making videos with you too and I really value all your contributions in this video.
Great Louise. I was on Paul's site and popped over. Will subscribe and keep up with you. Some years ago I tried taken some photographs inside Eastgate Shopping Centre with a DSLR camera, but was politely asked to move on although many were using there smartphones to do the same! Proud to be a Glawster man.
Thank you Frank! Welcome to the channel! Thanks so much for popping over and subscribing!
Lovely place Gloucester, i had the privilege of taking my dad just before he passed away to the British soldiers museum, i remember him standing to attention as we entered the building when the gentleman behind the desk shouted Name, Rank And Number. and my Dad just reeled it off like he was back in the Army. i also fitted the royal air force and army recruitment offices out when i was a floor layer many moons ago. it just a lovely place. the food and drink festival they have at the docks is amazing! lovely Vlog as always Louise 👌👍👍
Oh wow! Really special memories you have of Gloucester! Thanks so much for sharing them. I must look out for the food festival dates!
Great to see Gloucester. I used to go shopping there when I lived in Worcester but don't think the dock area had been developed (it was many years ago)! 🙂
Thank you Caroline! It’s quite good for shopping now! My hotel was attached to the Gloucester Quays shopping centre and I had to restrain myself a couple of times from being tempted by things! Pleased that you got to see it now it has been developed!
Oh yes i remember the Onedin Line 😂 used to watch it but can't remember the story now!
Supposedly the story may relate to Edward I of England travelling to Gloucester, falling off his horse into a puddle, and refusing to return to the city thereafter!! 😂
Oh! That's really interesting! Thank you Amanda!
Ha ha you can't go to Gloucester without mentioning Dr Foster lol 😂
