Are you sure that's an m38 because it looks like it has a CJ5 front end with a modified m38 body

hard for me to say, to my eye its a 38A1. If anyone can shed some light it would be appreciated

That's a Kaiser Willys M38A1 jeep or MD, it is the successor of the M38 early used in the Korean war and would serve as the basis for the CJ5 models (civilian jeeps). The one shown in this video seems to be a late model (probably a 1957 model), which would be the ones the USMC ordered from Kaiser Willys during the Vietnam war when the Army was already phasing out the A1s for the new M151a1s.
