Lately in life I hear “things just aren’t the same anymore”. Usually it’s with something that means a lot to them, for me it’s venture4wd. I said it during this video, man I miss the beginning of this channel with Chris worrying about when he’s gonna paid in order for him to put fuel in the car and spaghetti on the burner. I cherish those videos and how it felt to watch them in the time period of my life. Thanks Chris always a pleasure watching you man
Unfortunately for us, this is what happens when you get a significant other, buy a house and settle down. Hope all is well for you Chris, we miss you out here.
I am a torn viewer, I am very happy where you are in life (house, cars, career, lady), but I'm also missing the in the middle of nowhere adventure videos, AZ is great and all, but it seems to be the same every adventure.
The ARB may overheat in a tight confined space like that. The cooling fan blows over the motor cooling fins and the compressor heads and out right between the air intakes. With no room for the hot air to escape quickly it gets sucked in the compressor. It’s a positive feedback and will possibly overheat. I know, I made this very mistake. Also if you’re not using an air reservoir, change the pressure switch to 70 PSI. It will not reduce the speed at which it pumps up a tire.
A sound dampening spray in liner would be a good idea in the cabin to quiet it up. Raptor liner roll In the bed. I love you you are restoring the truck. 🤘
Glad to see the Defender is getting some love. I know I don’t need to tell you but carry plenty of water!💦💦💦Arizona is already starting to cook. Be safe and stay well.
I ran a spare 9wire 12 ga cable from radiator area to rear bumper. Dead headed both ends. As my vehicle upgrades continue I have an extra ace in the hole in the waiting. I worked in a factory wiring truck bodies. Always solder and heat tube each splice and connections. Doing that will save alot of grief down a bumpy offtrail..
I was a little worried at first about the land rover being right hand drive because it can be dangerous when you pass other vehicles. Then I realized it's a diesel land rover, you wont be passing anyone. 😁
Hey buddy, I’d suggest cutting out some of that seat mount either front or rear and adding a stainless steel louvered vent for air flow. Last thing you want is that twin arb overheating under there.
It's looking good. I wouldn't attempt that. I'm not good at wiring. I'd end up burning it up but seems you're doing all right on it. So looking forward to the rest. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦
Why buy a vehicle if YOU can’t tear it apart and make it what YOU want! Chris- I concur with venting the ARB by moving the intake filters…maybe via some drilled holes in that cubby.
Hi Chris, I love your videos on the defender, what are you using for storage on the truck bed of the defender. I have a 130 and I'm looking for storage solutions for tools and parts. The aluminum boxes look very sharp.
Double check that your ARB can be wired into the Switch Pro. I have the ARB twin and an S-Pod......the techs at S-Pod suggest NOT WIRING an air compressor to a switch panel, but to wire it directly to the battery.
Are you still planning to travel and do updates? I miss you! Your videography is outstanding, and I love the laid back approach to adventure/travel. Thanks.
Thank you for the kind words! Yes, we are planning a longer trip very soon. Expect new videos within the next month or two. Thank you for hanging in there.

You need a head unit or some kind of bluethooth speakers. You should never wear Airpods or any other buds/headphones when driving. It's very dangerous, and illegal in many states.

Need a wooden steering wheel to match the shift knobs & seat covers.
That is indeed on the wish list :)
