I started my railroad career on the St. Louis Iron Mountain & Southern Railway in 1986 as a student fireman. Since then, I've worked with six different railroads in seven states in different crafts. Right now, I'm looking at becoming old enough to retire with full pension in 2022 and am thinking of going back to where it all started and volunteering labor again on the Iron Mountain. It's just that good to be there!
