Sorry but I just had to rant about some of the stupid treatment you get at the airports. Colombia wants you to fill out a check mig form that they don't even pay attention to and the lady in Miami wasn't letting me in the line unless it was completed, even though SHE KNEW that the site was BS and not working. The only thing that made it work was when you did the same EXACT thing but in the Spanish version of the site. I can't make this up!!

Buy your one way return ticket the day of your flight to the country. You have have 24 hours to cancel the ticket for a full refund. As soon as you land in Colombia you cancel the ticket and get the refund. That's what I always do.

Some airlines will only let you board with a one way ticket to another country only if you are a citizen of the arrival country by showing a passport or birth certificate for that final destination.
