Great video! Do you know about the runes on the wall and what they mean? I have a few pictures of them but still have not found their message or meaning.
As a lad, I could walk along the parapets and go into places now blocked. Mind you, I am not sure I'd want to walk across those walls today. I had no fear 50+ years ago.
I visited in 2012 before the GoT and Outlander craze got to the levels it is today, though the Monty Python hype was there. It was a nice quite time in the autumn back then and a gorgeous castle to visit.
Granda Duncan, Granda Murdoch, Uncle Walter and Uncle Alexander were beheaded at Stirling! Granda James took Uncle Walter's children to Ireland with him.

Yes, slight shame you can't today but it does seem to be in a more delicate state than most of our intact ruins!

I was there in July or August 2005 and back then it was still very quiet.
