Good review. I do not personally own any Makita tools but I am aware of their quality. One of my cousins used to have a set of different battery powered tools I don't remember just which ones for sure but I know he had the drill, a light, and a small circular saw. They were a very early set that had some round or at least semi-round battery packs. When new they were great for the things he was using them for As they aged and the batteries aged they got weaker and got to a point where they would barely hold a charge. They were old enough by that time the batteries had been redesigned and no longer ably to find but he used them for a good 7 to 10 years if I remember correctly. I really miss my cousin Patrick. He passed away almost 3 years ago now.
Very cool to see a "long term professionally used" video of a power tool. If you have any other "mainstay" tools, showcase them, too! Way back when, when I was installing modular office furniture all of us got their cordless drills. They make really good electric motors.
Nice review Gio! I don’t have the Makita, but I have an off brand copy of the Makita that works pretty well, but when it dies I will upgrade to the Makita.

@@calbrockocat8728 thanks Cal, I have a whole range of tools I’m planning to do these for. And yes, they do make excellent motors 👍

@@34guitars Thanks Dave, it’s definitely been one of my best investments!
Thanks Gio. I probably need to upgrade from working on the kitchen table before I invest in a router LOL
@@bobirvine 😂👍
This is a great idea and an excellent video! Would you be incredibly offended if I borrowed your idea and did one with my shop too?
@@eklypse69 Not so long as you’ve ordered a set of Gecko Blocs!😂😂
