Does nobody think that the audio for like the first hour or so was really bad or is it just me?
It was perfectly fine on Triller. For whatever reason there's always a lot of audio issues with the TNT feed historically, so it's been fairly evident whatever the problem is, it's on the network side.
No you're right. The TNT audio was bad. I couldn't hear the announcers talk at certain points, the promos sounded weird. Audio was def weird

As much as I'd love Will to main event All In for the World Title, the idea of unifying the Continental and International titles by doing Ospreay vs Okada instead would be amazing.
A lot of the lower level faces that did come down, are the ones who also have roles outside of being just on air talent. So they have a bigger connection to TK
See this is a prime example of what I mean that you guys see something completely different then what happens. Luke said Tony grabbed his face but that never happened he never reached for his face after getting hit. He took the bump then a minute later sold the gut punch.
I really want the Bucks to do a "Shawn Michaels Returns to Montreal in 2005" type of segment next week. Jack Perry comes out to Omega's music, the Bucks say they lied about Kenny's return to push ticket sales, they even hacked Kenny's Twitter to make it look legit, etc. It would be fun! Also, they should do Mox vs Okada at Forbidden Door for the IWGP Title.
I would want Luchasaurus to join the Elite, reuniting the Jurassic Express but with a badass heel team name

@@christophermarriott1681 well tv execs who have need money from ad revenue do. Tony kahn's media rights deal cares because if they are drawing ratings they AEW can get more money for thier product. Which means AEW can last for 20 years instead 5 years on a national cabke network and with a steaming deal for the footage library. Dont you want that for tony and AEW.
Did anyone else have an entire episode of audio issues? It sounded like the broadcast audio didn't work and all the audio was piped in from the arena through the broadcast. I don't see enough talking about it and I'm so confused. It took me out of the whole show

Maybe it’s me but a Transitional champion doesn’t hold the belt for 4 months. To me 4 months or more is a proper title reign. But I guess we live in a age in which a title reign must be 1-4 years otherwise it’s a transitional reign.
I think its moreso that aew reigns are longer so anything less than 6 months would naturally be considered a transitional champion. Compare this to vince era wwe where a 4 months reign woild actually be considered decently long.
If a 4 month reign with multiple title defenses and 3 ppv main events is aew’s version of a transitional world champ I’m more than fine with that lmao

The problem with their take about the bigger stars needing to come out at the end- is if the bigger stars come out then the audience is going to expect those people to do something about it next week and be part of the angle… and those people (like Will) are in different stories not planned to be in this one.
Someone tell luke that a story is being being told. You cant just have will osprey come down and end the story. Smh luke's dream booking is terrible.
Ospreay's hesitation and Jay White's smile might be the best moments, but the best wrestling move, to me, was Jay Lethal's Lethal Combination. That Backbreaker followed by something like Jay White's Bladerunner (seems it's called a reverse STO), was just magnificent. Sometimes we forget how awesome that guy can be.
And most of this guantlet was just people's dream matches, especially every pairing with Jay White.

OK so TK next week needs to have a segment with Roddy talking about neck injuries. Taven and Bennett stick up for Tony and ultimately the whole Undisputed Kingdom join with Tony.
When MJF comes back full heel hating Tony again he joins The Elite.
At first I was a bit down on the followup with Swerve, but seeing that they're going to start off Collision with him makes me feel a lot better! They're going to have a huge lead-in from the NBA game, so that will expose him to the largest possible audience while keeping him on more AEW TV (I don't think Samoa Joe ever appeared on Collision while he was champ?)
Luke, Jericho did kill Starks and Cole momentum, MJF saved Cole and Punk/Bryan saved Starks
Punk killed Stark's when he bailed on him instead of putting him over. Punk didn't save anything.
Shad Khan at the end of the episode massively elevated The Elite kicking Tony's ass angle for me.

Its so obvious that Oli (among other ICW bad faith pundits) *DOES NOT WATCH COLLISION or RAMPAGE* and complain about story. Serena has been on Collison nearly every week. She hasn't disappeared. This isn't random or a filler opponent for Toni. The Toni storm Mariah stuff has blead on to collision as well. Even the Bryan/Ospreay stuff was on there.
*The BIGGEST LIE IN THE IWC IS RAMPAGE/COLLISION IS Filler* . No, its must see if you want story continuity. Maybe not live, but its must see.
Agreed. It is annoying when Oli complains about stuff introduced or addressed on Collision, Rampage, and /or ROH. I remember he complained about one of the Outcasts showing up out of nowhere while they were in a story with Angelo on Rampage. If he had been watching the show, he would've known they'd been on TV in a long-term story for a while. If his "job" is to critique wrestling, then he should watch all of it before mouthing off.

The problem is a viewer shouldn't have to watch all three programs to keep up.

The impression I was under was Don Callis was booking Ospreay against his own guys in order to rig the ranking system in Wills favour to turbo boost him up the card and win a belt but then he just won an anyone can have a go battle royale to get a shot so I guess I was wrong about that or it is maybe a missed opportunity just
As somebody who has been very critical of and down on AEW for a long time all i can say is, at least they are trying something.
Couple this with Kenny talking about how he wasnt a fan of how the Punk situation has been handled on his twitch streams and next week will be very interesting.

I feel like Oli would benefit from playing GM mode, so he can learn that you don't need talent to be on every show every week xD
I kind of hope that they hire an actor to be the "Khan family presence", like how Lucha Underground had Dario Cueto. Not that I don't like Tony Khan, but I think he's a lot better as a guy who excitedly makes announcements and rubber-stamps matches than he is actually doing acting work and interacting with characters.

Amazingly I haven't seen as much negativity toward the angle as I was expecting. Most of it is people saying that Tony swore he'd never "Become an on screen character" But he's been one. He was one during the cross promotion with Impact/TNA when Kenny was there. If we're all wondering what's next then it's an effective angle.
Loved this episode, the casino whatever was an example of what I love about aew. It's got new Japa guys, lucha stuff, flippy boys, big boys, and roh dudes all in one
Will TK release a statement saying he’s never feared for his life at work more than wed night? Could write him out of the company in kayfabe and bring an authority figure in to be the face?

When I think of "cry me a river" I think of Justin Timberlake, not jack perry. TK just needs to pay out the nose and get that for AEW.
One match into Swerve's reign and the AEW World Championship is at World Heavyweight Championship levels now. Good moment for him, he could have been at that level, but as a whole with Nana, the weird soft turn so soon after the home invasion/baby promo, and the last two title changes just being moments, (MJF loses, Swerve wins) it felt like Joe started strong just to becoke a transitional champion, and winning from a transitional champion doesn't a great world champion make.
The Toni Storm and Mariah May story is not romantic. Toni refers to Mariah as her “child” in promos

Overthinking wrestling must take the fun out of it. I did not once wonder why Swerve didn't get a celebration or why top names did not come out to save Tony. I just enjoyed what I was given.

TK held his head because the bump was awful and he hit his head on impact. My theory is the head sell wasn't a sell but and once he composed himself he started selling his stomach.

As for his 1st bump, Tony did good, way better than Vince trying to sell the Stone Cold Stunner for decades and never got it right
Next week dynamite needs to scrap the normal music and opening graphics and just play the old BTE intro. Or a full Succession style video opening with the new Elite
Everyone is focusing on Kenny, and of course hes going to play a big role in this story. But the real interesting element for this story, and the real opposition to the elite and for the side of comming to Tony's aid... Is MJF
