Dude I'm so hyped about the changes, not having a fast safe counter hit launcher really force you to rely on his amazing neutral/spacing game. So much more interesting to play imo.
They can nerf him so much they want. Fakhumram's skill-set is still amazing, because Muay Thai is amazing. Love this character. In Tekken 8 they will make him OP again -- as DLC. Cash Cow.

Now you have to use your range more effectively and play strong keepout to avoid them in your face. Then mix them up with strong string pressure, get them to the wall and guard break their ass. He's not so braindead anymore you have to understand spacing a lot more now. Characters with flaws are more fun.

So you have a ton of string pressure with counter hit opportunities everywhere and you have a busted ass character. I think they over nerfed him a bit but he still pretty strong I think.

Just like before you want to be at range 2, it's just way more important to force that as before he was still insane at range 0 while just being the best at range 2. Having a situation you want to avoid is fun, as it makes you play around it using skill and your opponent can as well.
I'm glad to main him. He makes you know his entire kit now to condition your opponents effectively. You have to play actual Tekken with him now, and you feel great when you pull off wins that way.
I feel like Heihachi is too safe. They should give him a decent low in T8 but adjust his frames a little. I'm not saying everything must be punishable, all I'm saying is that make some stuff punishable or at least -9 instead of -6 on block. It is too easy to mash him or just turtle.
5:57 seems like Fak still oppressive with frames at the wall. Honestly now he just has more risk to his play and can't just rely on 1 or 2 moves to carry him. Maybe nerfed a bit too much, but it's in the right direction.
Idk about this guy he's playing against. If you watch his actions at the last few seconds of the last match, he's clearly looking for the timeout. I think after awhile he'd just wait until the last match of promotion chance then turn on the juice, and just kept doing that until his strategy backfired spectacularly. But honestly who knows, the way people are you just never know who's sniping and who isn't.
It's a little crazy it took this long for them to make the character do what he seems designed to do... but hey, at least the stupid counterhit spam is gone.

DLC in fighting games is a long term L, when it comes to creating new characters. Lidid, leroy, and fahk, could have been easily added to T8 as new characters. They could have left db4 and 3+4 untouched, I really wish they didn’t go that far, b1 maybe just reduce the damage and only let ff1+2 land, but the nerf overall is way too severe, he needed Nerfs for SURE, but didn’t have to do all of It, leave some for players who want to play him and pros who want to use him at tournaments

Your just happy he's easier to beat but you want namco to think they made the right choice with titles like "he's so fun." Ego won't let you admit your bias or admit that namco went too far. If lil majin and kwiss and even Jcdr can all admit that some of these nerfs were unjustified you could at least be honest as to your intentions. If he's so fair and fun now get him to tekken god omega. His db 4 and counter hit 3+4 and magic 4 were a step too far. B1 nerf was fair, forward forward 1+2 was fair and the rage drive nerf was also fair since fahk can net 85 damage before the wall without rage. Removing any form of basic offense was bullshit though. You pulled this same routine with Steve saying his nerfs made his identity more interesting but i don't see you sporting him in ranked. You really just love characters to be placed lower than kazuya.

In a sense. An intention of balance is to have everyone be as viable as each other. But that doesn't mean you give everybody who doesn't have a certain powerful tool that powerful tool (ewgf, 100% combos, etc)
Keep in mind that a tier list can change drastically from one to another and Fakhuram may be mid for Mainman but still high tier or even bottom five for other players. But don’t worry, Fak is still viable. Most tier list depend on a very specific context like tournaments play, and best characters pick for this kind of play are the less punishable so Fakhuram doesn’t seem to be one anymore.
Weaknesses are part of good character design and balance. If all characters are equally good, there is no specialization or counterpick, which makes for more boring to watch and play game.

Am I the only person who thinks Fahk is strong still? Sure he's got some pretty major flaws now, but that mix of insane range and a good back-dash makes it really easy for him to set up whiffs and capitalise on them. Just that makes him a good characters, surely? It might be matchup specific but I think any character who struggles for good long range moves is going to struggle against him still. Sure his side-step sucks but in a lot of circumstances he won't need it.

B1 nerf was fair, forward forward 1+2 was fair and the rage drive nerf was also fair since fahk can net 85 damage before the wall without rage. Removing any form of basic offense was bullshit though. You pulled this same routine with Steve saying his nerfs made his identity more interesting but i don't see you sporting him in ranked. You really just love characters to be placed lower than kazuya.

This isn't balance, therefore Fahk's nerfs are problematic. tmm basically says he's not good anymore. Isn't the goal here to have every Tekken character be *as* good as the other?
In a sense. An intention of balance is to have everyone be as viable as each other. But that doesn't mean you give everybody who doesn't have a certain powerful tool that powerful tool (ewgf, 100% combos, etc)
Keep in mind that a tier list can change drastically from one to another and Fakhuram may be mid for Mainman but still high tier or even bottom five for other players. But don’t worry, Fak is still viable. Most tier list depend on a very specific context like tournaments play, and best characters pick for this kind of play are the less punishable so Fakhuram doesn’t seem to be one anymore.

Weaknesses are part of good character design and balance. If all characters are equally good, there is no specialization or counterpick, which makes for more boring to watch and play game.

Am I the only person who thinks Fahk is strong still? Sure he's got some pretty major flaws now, but that mix of insane range and a good back-dash makes it really easy for him to set up whiffs and capitalise on them. Just that makes him a good characters, surely? It might be matchup specific but I think any character who struggles for good long range moves is going to struggle against him still. Sure his side-step sucks but in a lot of circumstances he won't need it.
