That first post that said Faker got carried in the finals is crazy. People always trying to bring him down just because he’s the most successful player. He put T1 on his back vs JDG. Nor did faker play bad in the finals, was shaky in game 1, but game 3 he was really good on Akali. Zeus and Oner were just giga gapping so hard Faker and Guma couldn’t show much of themselves, but they did so in semis.
People definitely forgot that without Faker, T1's only having headless chickens with incredible mechanical skills. We all knew what happened to T1 when he got injured which goes to show how much of the entire team performance revolves around his leadership. Ffs I swear some people are just looking at pro player performances from how flashy their plays are.

The most important thing faker did in the finals was soak up a ton of bans/attention. He basically forced the draft into t1s favor cause everyone was so terrified of his azir and being the only person who could play azir into ori. It opened up a ton of flexibility for t1s drafts
No fr. It's really hard to communicate to people who aren't familiar with league or just aren't that good how insane that ruler catch was. Like there was no angle there and across the various costreams, people who have played this game for a living for years couldn't see it either. That specific game state combined with an enemy draft that excels at sieging and yet....
Unironically I think that faker is maybe the only player who sees that play and takes it to win the game. It's not even a mechanics diff either. Unadulterated game sense on display. Guma and zeus (keria at his peak as well) are honestly a whole step above faker in terms of execution, but faker just sees this game differently.

Faker's main impact on the game is his global taunt and shot calling. Everything else is just the icing on top. Also, massive props to the T1 coaches for mastering this worlds draft. They all learned from their 2022 mistakes

I forgot which streamer said it but they mentioned how Guma didnt have to do a lot in finals. Zeus and Oner were maniacs in the matches. Zeus truly deserved MVP for finals but man Oner really evolved throughout Worlds.

His form was insane after Swiss. His smart jungle pathing and clutch play were what kept T1 in the game and gave us the highlights we've been seeing.

Without Faker, you don't have the overwhelming dominant victory against LNG or JDG. Nobody is discrediting Oner, but Faker single handedly won them game 3, where they were literally about to lose the game. That alone completely turned the tide of the series

This is why LEC teams doesn't improve, because their audience doesn't even know wtf is going on, Faker is the brain of T1 right now, he does coaching and drafts, he also spend time with Keria analysing different teams and matches. If T1 is in a bad position, like their third game against JDG, Faker will step out and save the game with one insane play, like how he pushed Ruler with Azir, but if T1 is running down their opponents, Faker just need to chill and play the game without breaking a sweat. They only need Faker to carry when they are behind, most of the time Faker is just there to coordinate and tell his team what to do. JDG was the second best team, they were the only team that made Faker stress, but it was uselss because Faker is miles ahead on drafts and meta.

I thoroughly enjoyed the finals and thought it was incredible. I was more than happy to watch T1 slaughter all of the LPL teams. Wasn't at all bored with the Finals.

The finals this year was so weird. JDG vs T1 in semis we got to see a lot more from the other players, but in the finals, the whole focus was on the Top lane, and Zeus carried so hard that we barely got to see anyone else do any plays. Guma had no plays in the slightest the whole series, and that says a lot.
I don't think WBG was bad, but I think T1 was better, and they prepared so well. It was hard for Weibo to surprise T1, and therefore they looked "bad". They had good plays, like when Weiwei ganked Faker for First Blood in Game 1.

Damn I agree that's the worst and most boring Finals I've watched. I am diehard T1 fan been waiting for Faker to lift his 4th. But during that series I got so bored and started cheering for WBG in game 3 cause I want them to actually make the series fun atleast 😂. This is the 1st time I've never felt T1 getting punished and losing the game when making mistakes while watching them on Finals. I've never felt threaten by WBG the whole series, I saw the 3-0 incoming even before T1 destroyed their nexus in Game 1.
Let's be honest, T1 makes the league more interesting and fun to watch.

Now that all of them have broken through I can see them becoming the new dominant team in league.
I want them to at bare minimum win msi and spring summer next year so they have gotten every achievement they can.
The off season is going to be a scary one, because the worlds premium for fkin Zeus and oner is going to go crazy.
Guma keria I’m not afraid if they would leave.
T1 will prioritize them first and foremost IMO since out of all of them, keria is the most irreplaceable.
All t1 members were crucial to the title, but keria just turns t1 into a different beast with their flexibility botside.
And outside of ruler you cannot upgrade from guma.
Same for Zeus since he is definitely the best top in the world.
But top is not as important as bot, because what I’ve gathered from all the meta’s that happened in modern league, is that as long as there is a dragon soul, botlane will be too crucial in pro play.
Especially since next year they are nerfing topside and plates/early game so much.
Next year the meta will be most likely the HyperCarry bot/mid meta with weak side/supportive top.
And though zeus is the best of the best rn, you can get a budget great weakside player that wants to win a championship.
Oner is the biggest idfk ever.
I think he is the most likely to leave (can’t blame him tho, us fans shafted him) yet he is one of the most difficult to replace. Cuz I think no one is as mechanically as good as him(outside of canyon), you can’t get more consistent than him. I know kanavi and canyon are free agents next year to potentially replace him (in case he leaves) but Kanavi is uhh idfk, since eyes he could be perfect but I think too many will bid for him.
Canyon is a no no, since he needs a lot of midlane prio and I don’t know if faker can handle consistently getting lane push to help out canyon. Also Canyon fkin SUCKS at supportive champions, making him a risk if the meta shifts into Sej, Mao, etc again. I know he can be decent but he is inconsistent in supportive champs.
Faker is no issue because the day he leaves t1 is the day I’m going to jump into a pit of snakes. I am very concerned for his longevity due to his injury from this point onward. I think the likeliness that we see spring 23 faker is very low, as the injury can be very tough to deal with long term.
Overall to those that are staying in the t1 train like me, you should watch out for this off season.
If everyone stays then it’s GGS.
If one leaves then it’s fixable but recoverable (unless it’s keria, cuz if so skip to the final one)
2 leaves the future is too uncertain
3 or keria leaves it’s no dynasty for us, because it’s either we lose the man who will always make t1 a draft nightmare or we lose too many good players with the likelihood of us getting equivalent ones going down the drain.
