@swagalicious34 That's exactly what I do, along with Metal Machine Music, White Light White Heat, especially Sister Ray, and plenty of live versions of Alan Vega screaming some gorgeous Suicide lyrics. I don't want friends or work who can't cope with my idiosyncrasies. I even use these as answering tones on whatever cellphone device I might be forced to still use. Tax officers love it.
Nico est une chanteuse que j’aime tout particulièrement, en tant que femme en tant qu’artiste. Intéressée par le mysticisme, par les rituels divers et par leurs origines. Elle a mis en pratique certains rituels oubliés comme la Toussaint.
Frozen Warnings, in a special class of intensity and darkness and in my mind as powerful and similar in intensity to John Martyn's Solid Air, Sandy Denny's Autopsy and Jackson C.Frank's I Want to be Alone and Leonard Cohen's You Want it Darker.
only saw Nico live once at my 1st ever gig age 13 in 1978 supporting Siouxsie & the Banshees she did stuff like this & was booed off stage I remember she ran off crying I'm gutted I didn't give her another chance & check her out again later on I missed out I think
This reminds me of an interview with the sublime Judee Sill (early 1970's) who quipped she wanted to be able to find a way to do her work and make a living without opening for rockers and their obnoxious audiences.
En tout cas, il y a beaucoup à creuser or on dirait que de son vivant rares sont ceux qui se sont penchés sur la profondeur du travail de. cette femme. Et moi j’ai 72 ans et j’ai le cancer. Nico, I had listened to your album but not the way I do now.
In february 1971 I lived in Paris in an empty mansion next to JARDIN DE LUXEMBOURG that was offered me by CHRISTINA VON BRAUN,daughter of WERNER VON BRAUN upon a recommendation by MARC GILBERT.
Play this at work and see who your friends are.
I used to play white light white heat full blast when working in a factory, people did not like that 🤣.
@@swagalicious34 Hahaha. Too noisy for a workshop floor.
@@hassanas-sabbagh6562 was going to bring metal machine music to really annoy them but thought I’d better not lol.

What a beauty. And how she suffered. She spoke of what few of us could ever express. Thank you, Nico, for giving us an outlet.
The best art comes from suffering.
Hauntingly beautiful.
I was there she had long Purple Hair beautiful evening

Only the soulless youtube put adverts in the middle of songs. Damn them
Sorry I have no control over that...
@@FruitierThanThou I hear you. I get that youtube are short of money🙄but to put an ad in the middle of a song is soulless.

She wouldn't be an obvious support act for Siouxsie & the Banshees except for the Velvet Underground connection I guess.
That's a very sad story, she was a tortured soul x
Those punks would today be working for the man and wearing their masks.

Sigh. Well when you're 13 you're 13. You're still here and have time to check her out!
Never listened to this recording, but I love it! Been twice to her grave and on Sunday the 13th will be the third time. It is a lovely place
Where is she buried? I also would like to go there!
@@merckxy54 me too
She is buried in Grunewald Forest cemetery park in Berlin with her mother.
Would love to go, but I never shall.
She had a very tasteful voice here. Beautiful version of "no one is there" (there are few live version of this song).
