How about making schools about education and not indoctrination! Lose the snowflake woke teachers, lose the pointless subjects, and have more parental involvement.

Time for these types of measures need to happen. Dole/welfare should also be based on education. Without education we know they will de greatly hampered. Getting education gains more Benifits. No carrot to get ahead get no results

Throw out the curriculum and do a deal with Cambridge International to bootstrap a new one.

I have this theory about teaching at a higher level produces a higher level. If you make the curriculum harder from the start it's all the kids will know. Cambridge is an amazing curriculum.

The bigotry of low expectations is so applicable is many areas.
Education is the way to improve a country in the long term and the return on investment in education is surprising quickly anyway!

Why do so few NZers rate David Semour as preferred Prime Minister? This guy is the real deal! Wake-up NZ!

David could you also have a review of teacher release days? My primary school children have a reliever teacher once a week so their usual teacher has a day of planning. What on earth? And then I'm told by both the teacher and the reliever that 80% of her relief time is spent preparing lessons for 1 special needs child in the class. WHAT?! So all the kids loose their teacher 1/5th the year, and the majority of her time away is spent focused on 1/23 kids. I'm sensitive to the needs of special needs kids, but it feels very one sided.

Parents need to pay for their kids education. Not a taxpayer responsibility. User pays. Dont like it - dont have kids

Why are minimum attendance rates for charter schools set much lower than state schools? Because David Atlas Seymour says so 😂
