@William Stevens There was only One Antonin Scalia. But I agree with you. The Left and even a small percentage of Conservatives think that Judges exist to create Law. It's an Ideological way of thinking without realising the Immense Danger to it.
Judges must apply the Law and in the absence of specific reference in a particular piece of legislation in modern day circumstances to a specific case then must interpret the will of the Legislative assembly which is particularly applicable to the Constitution.
Let's take the old favourite The 2nd Amendment. When the Founding Fathers drafted and ratified the 2nd Amendment there was no M60 machine guns and no nuclear bombs. But the Founding Fathers did Guarantee "the right to keep and bear arms". So, in the absence of specific reference to nuclear bombs and M60's the Courts and ultimately the Supreme Court had to and still does Interpret the Will and Meaning of the Founding Fathers. Needles to say it's Overwhelmingly in the Public Interest that avarage Joe Bloke be prevented from obtaining and owning a nuclear bomb. So the Court interpreted the Constitution and a Minimum standard as to what Joe citizen rights in regards to the 2nd Amendment is and settled on semi automatic rifles and as a special sub classification with special provisions machine guns.
I understand the objective of the Left. That is to water down the rights of the citizens across the spectrum in favour of big government. It's a classical Socialist and nowadays Neomarxist ideology that cost humanity 200 million Souls in the previous century and now we have once again countries like Venezuela, Cambodia, Zimbabwe ect.
It seems that our capacity to learn from mistakes is very limited after all.

Everyone is so politically divided these days because no one wants to listen to each other any more.

Ron Rook think he's resting in peace after he was found dead under his pillow. The ranch Scalia was at owned by a donor friend of 0bama's. Scalia's son was going to be with him, but there were last minute problems that prevented him from going with his father. True to his form, Scalia dismissed his protection as he retired for the night. The next morning he was found dead under his pillow. How many people do you know sleep under their pillow? 0bama then convinced Scalia's relatives not to allow an autopsy. Several times protocol wasn't followed after his death.

My criticism of garner's and Scalia's book on legal writing is the footnoting of cases which I think makes remote the very basic stare decisis that supports the idea supported. Their thinking was citing cases inter alia interrupted a brief or opinions flow.
