He takes his mic and leaves, signalling that he's moving onwards and beyond. Maybe I'm reading too much into it lol

Okay okay hear me out I feel like the performers behind him could represent fans. At first they're all around him. They're strong, and follow his lead. In the second verse they become a bit staggered and messy, and in the chorus there's only 3 with him. Then he's by himself, but he knows that they're there. When he starts running towards the mic, the bigger group pushes him away, and the smaller group catches him, guiding him towards the mic. The last chorus feel different because this time he's not dancing, but watching. With my interpretation of the lyrics, despite all of the darkness around him, he pushed through. With a little bit of help along the way, he made it to where he is now. I hope you can see where I'm coming from 😅 I could be overanalyzing but oh well, I still think it's really cool.
