I never realized how much I love Stuart Damon !!/:) He is a fantastic actor and singer. He has a very impressive acting resume. He is wonderful in this scene !
Well honestly the Q's shouldn't expect Jason Morgan to be more accepting of them, than them to be more accepting of Jason Morgan. Because either way I wouldn't blame Jason Morgan to leave the way he did on his own terms and that's exactly why.
Jason Can’t be what Alan wants, and yes, it’s breaking Alan’s heart. But, Alan Won’t be what Jason needs. As Alan sits there basically telling this lost, young man how, disappointed he is that Jason Quartermaine ‘dead’ and how he’s so disappointed that these’s only ‘damaged ‘ Jason left , Alan’s the one breaking a heart. Jason sees, hears and feels their disappointment every minute, and it’s crushing him inside! But Alan can’t see past his pain, so how does he expect this confused young man do the same?
I just think whether it was jason q or jason m Alan really should not make his child responsible for " validating his existence " that's a heavy burden for any child. Even Jason quartermaine used to get annoyed how alan treated aj like garbage & would praise him. Their was a scene on yt but I cant find it where alan gave jason q his watch. He had it engraved to his beloved son something like that. So Jason who was always ajs biggest supporter ( if i feel for anyone its aj bc w/ Jason gone he had nobody left to believe in him & that broke my heart in a later scene when Alan tore into him. Alan was so awful to aj imagine how he felt about him when he found out he ruined his favorite son ?

It's true, the Q's pushed too hard. But Jason didn't even bother to try. I understand that his ability to relate and to feel emotion had been compromised, but he obviously had a good enough grasp on the anger emotion. So if he could feel anger, he can feel other emotions as well. He just didn't want to. He was an ass back then. Thank god for Robin. She came along and made him human. Jason all but confirmed that after everyone thought she died. "Robin was my friend. She was more than that. Anything good I've ever had, started with her."
He suffered a traumatic brain injury. I think people just have no reference for his injury just like he had no reference of anything...anything. The anger was a result of the brain injury. He learned along the way that he could feel, but the doctors told him initially he wouldn't. It wasn't a matter of not wanting to. His emotions were so out of control. Jeez... He was struggling to just cope with everything. He had nothing because there was no memory of anything. He didn't understand love or compassion etc. You learn that in your life when you are young. He was like a toddler in ways with no reference of anything like that. Toddlers show anger...crying, but they don't understand most other emotions and are not capable to making a connection yet. He lashed out because he was so frustrated and out of sorts. Can you imagine dealing with all of that? Robin helped him find his way. He was human, he just was devoid of most feelings because he didn't understand them just like a little kid. He had no reference point. Everyone wanted something from him that he no idea how to give them. Almost everyone wanted him to be someone he wasn't.
Exactly. I could have had more compassion for Jason M. had he at least tried to remember his old life and/or been genuinely sorry that he couldn't and about how he was treating everyone. But he wasn't. He was just a rude, cruel jerk.
That whole conversation between Jason and Alan was wrong on so many levels. Jason was nowhere near ready to have that kind of mentally or emotionally. Secondly Alan is a doctor and yet he couldn't recognize that the brain damage that took everything away from him left psychological damage that Jason couldn't even comprehend.
