    Hello H A Z M A T. The 798 AC isn't a battery-operated machine, so there is zero time charging. It features an electric drive system but is still diesel-powered. - Elvitz

    so, so ,the 797 model is 400 tons, this 798, just 1 number higher, that one equivalent to 10 more tons????

      The 797 and 798 are not even close by design. 797 is mechanical drive the 798 is electric.

    So are you going to put it to the test in the Pilbara Iron Ore Mines of Nth West, Western Australia? How will the AC system deal with the fine abrasive iron ore dust and the heat of the Pilbara?

      @@Visotto1 Totally different environment. They have issues down there that we don't up here in the oil sands. I have to say, they definitely got it right with these trucks. They had some early teething problems, but they were corrected quickly, and the trucks are pretty much monsters now.

    • @fishheadback
      @fishheadback ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There is no recharge, its a diesel/ electric. Like a locomotive. The diesel engine basically works as a generator and creates electricity for the electric motor.

      @@scottbignell7185 If they've done an update, it's since I was on one. The solid front axle jars the operator pretty good on a rough road.
