- This conference was not only intended for artists but also for a general audience, to help them understand this new animation technique and maybe motivate them to start a new hobby XD.
Thanks to Mauro Rego for presenting the conference, and also Daniela and the team for the organization ! This was a private conference, but here it is finally available for everyone.
In such a short time, it is impossible to go deep and show all the possibilities of Blender and the grease pencil tool, but I hope this presentation and live drawing will be enough to make you want to go further on learning 2d/3d animation.
00:00 Introduction, what can you do with Blender
03:24 Let's open and explore a blender file !
09:50 Making a simple animation : the drawing tools, modifiers and duplicates
26:58 Intermediate animation
46:09 The end result, and extra modifications
Thanks for your support on my tipeee page !

This video is exactly what I needed right now! I've been wanting to get into using Blender for a while coming from 2D but didn't know how to approach it. I've always looked up to your art, great presentation!
Look up worthykids. He has some great grease pencil stuff as well. And a tutorial that is very good.
Absolutely inspiring. Now i want to switch all my software for animation 2D to blender after this… thank you!
Merci de partager ton expérience, j'ai apprenti un qu'autre truc que je ne connaissais pas.

Which objects are suitable for 2D painting, and which ones are suitable for 3D modeling and painting? Do you have any experience to share?
awesome! may i ask you opt to draw on front plane (or any specific plane) instead of drawing to camera?
thanks ! So everything is actually on a plane. It is the default drawing mode of a greasepencil object. It seems to be on the camera because the planes are transparent and are facing the camera, but you can rotate them anywhere and make them not transparent or even wrapp them on 3d objects
@@dedouze oh! wouldn't it be easier if you drew it according to the camera and not on the front plane? so then if you move the camera the character doesnt look weird?
Hi 👋
T'es français !?
Yep!
