most underrated Priest album there is.
+Brampiescampie So true. I think the Nu Metal vibes confused the Heavy Metal fans.
Tim was a breath of fresh air for Priest. This album is brutal from beginning to end.
Tim 'Ripper' Owens is for me in the top 5 metal singers on the planet, can anyone think of another vocalist that could have pulled off having to deal with singing Rob Halfords back catalogue? Not many I can assure you.
+Aldo Monge if scheppers entered in judas at this time, rob would never return hahahaha
Baz 5150 Really liked him on Black Sabbath so underrated. Glad you know about him though.
This track is extremely addictive.
Mad that you commented. All I've been doing is watching JCVD films lately. Yep. Very addictive lol 🤣☝️
@@adamturner1563 As opposed to the poopie "materials" that humans become addicted to these days, Hells Yeah!
Yes sir. ALOT of poopie materials out there ! Last 10 years I'd say. A poop tonne of it ! ...... 💀
tim the ripper owens is an absolute Powerhouse!
My Husband, my life, passed away 17 days ago... We adore this song... Wait for me my Love, just for a while I will be here in Hell...
Honestly Tim is easily one of the coolest singers when he has the right material.
[Verse 1]
You're looking at me why
Sort of like a leper vibe
Okay for your kind
But it's too good for me
And a hey I know I'm
Never going to qualify
For all the bullshit
Of your social degrees
Oh look down your noses at me
Hating my identity
Oh but that don't mean a damn thing you see
Because down here in Hell everybody loves me
[Verse 2]
Hey I know I'm anti-social
Because you act like I'm infected
With some atrocity
And though I know I'm
Every bit the same inside
My face don't fit
It's like I've got some disease
Oh you keep your face turned away
To strip me of identity
Oh still got my fortune and fame
Because down here in Hell everyone knows my name
[Chorus]
Hell is home to me
Might as well be
I like it here and nowhere else invited me
Hell is home to me
It has to be (because Jesus Christ)
Nobody else invited me
[Verse 3]
Now I belong
I found my home
Because even though I know things won't get any better
They can certainly never get much worse
[Chorus]
Hell is home to me
Might as well be
I like it here and nowhere else invited me
Hell is home to me
It has to be (because Jesus Christ)
Nobody else invited me
[Chorus]
Hell is home to me
Might as well be
I like it here and nowhere else invited me
Hell is home to me
It has to be (because Jesus Christ)
Nobody else invited me
[Verse 4]
Say my whole life I've always been disliked
Ignored unless you're spitting insults at me
And I don't know why you felt so justified
In all the degradation that you dished on me
Oh! Now my status has changed
And you've got yourself to blame
Oh! I'll grab all the attention I crave
Now I'm running Hell, Heaven won't be the same
[Chorus]
Hell is home to me
Hell is home to me
Hell is home to me
Hell is home to me
Hell is home to me
Might as well be
I like it here and nowhere else invited me
Hell is home to me
It has to be (because Jesus Christ)
Nobody else invited me
I'm a life long JP fan. I love how the band has evolved over the years. Always heavy and new. Ripper was a part of that evolution and made two great albums with the band. He shouldn't be denied his part of the band's legacy. It's wrong!
Also Rob would make these songs sound amazing as well. Shame we'll probably never see that.
I HATED Jugulator! However, Demolition isn't bad (even though it sounded more like Metallica than Priest). Maybe they should rerecord parts of this album with Halford (especially this song!)...
That´s right, bro; it´s good music, that´s what it´s all about... no matter wether it´s Tim or Rob. Good job!!!!
The riff is amazing
This is pure metal at it's best.... Ohio native fronts the British Giants and leaves his mark...
Kevin Baker he didnt leave his mark. You're delusional if you actually believe what you said
Great song and GREAT album! Ripper got so much shit from whiners he did not deserve! Perfect halford replacer with a perfect judas priest voice!
And its sad that no one appreciates the fact that ripper is prolly as close to Rob vocally than anyone out there.
TuffTittiesTurkleton The Ripper is better than I gave him credit for,but I think he would be better if he stepped out of Halford's shadow and did his own thing, even if it was largely similar to what Halford does.Rather than compete with Halford at being Halford, just be a fucking awesome singer in his own right.Or something like that,I've been drinking...
Ripper has never been the problem! The weakness during the Ripper era was the songwriting! And btw. This album may not be on the level of the classics, but it is still better than Nostradamus and Redeemer! Weakest production ever! And for all the Ripper haters: Listen to „Glorious Burden“ by Iced Earth! And now tell me again weather or not he sucks!??? Ha!?
If I was wrestler, this would be my entrance music)
It would be epic to see a badass wrestler lumber into the squared circle to this track.
Written by Glenn Tipton & K.K. Downing.......
Song of my life story!
Beyond a doubt one of the best metal songs I have ever heard. We all can relate with those lyrics. Ripper is insanely great! Damn !
Every time i listen this song from day one it sends chills down my spine.
Ripper is hands down one of the best metal singers of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of the best Judas Priest songs, with great vocal performance
2:48 holy shit!! awesome riff!! powerful
This song was on repeat when I was 20, now 30 years old this song still hits the same, will always be one of my favorites.
This is one of the greatest Priest songs ever. If Halford sang in it, it'd be considered one of the classics.
This song is so underrated. I had to comment since you posted that 10 years ago. I have spotify and have to move to youtube to listen to this at parties when it's my turn to request a song lol.
Dad : turn it down !
Me : Why ?
Dad : we have bigger speaker downstair
This song is a Heavy Metal masterpiece.
Tim "Ripper" Owens is the best Heavy Metal vocalist ever.
He is a great singer
The 2 albums made by Ripper with Judas are grea!! And not only. Love you man.
I'm not fan JP, ONLY with Ripper ... Demolition And Jugulator. Owen Ripper Is for me most underrated singer.too love youth man

For everyone who was ever snubbed, cast aside, laughed at and ostracised by cliques and pretentious snobs (including the so-called ''cool crowd'') just for being different, this is the song for us.
As someone who grew up in a highly competitive social circle with impossible standards and no mercy spared for anyone deemed not up to their standards then becoming snubbed by all of them and never allowed to be with them, how I felt and what I experienced is accurately reflected in this song.
After I detached from that social circle and took on my metalhead persona, this song came into my life and it was a shocking moment when I realised how accurate this song was.
Tipton, Downing and Ripper speak for all of us on here.
This song is my anthem for the way I feel about society, it makes me proud too be a loner
60dislikes!!your all crazy...this rocks!!!Tim Owens covers halford the best..he's a great singer👊👊👊👊🎤🇺🇸
Tim is almost as good as Rob. :o
@@ExodusCheezone makes the lead, and one follows. But thanks to the Lord that there is one that can follow, otherwise we would never have had a song like this. Chills the bones.
That intro is cool as hell
Ripper was the best singer they could have when Halford was away, no one is saying Ripper wss the best JP vocalist ever, he was best JP vocalist at the time.
You know, the fact that Ripper fooled me, making me think that this was still Rob singing, he's pretty darn good.
Best Priest Album
Best song on this album!
Motley Crue For me that would be Subterfuge, but this song is great too!
Great song! I love the flow of the vocal lines
My favorite Priest albums are Jugulator and Demolition, Ripper Owens the Best \m/

Why this song, and the whole album, isn't on spotify? :(
Tim ripper is Insane!! \../
Favorite song from the Ripper Owens albums.
Ripper is a great front man, great voice sung with alot of passion. He should of been inducted with the band in the Rock n Roll induction. That was a mistake to not include him.Ripper does not have to bow down to anyone. He is a force.😊
I am a huge Priest fan, a very stubborn 14 year old me set out to learn Victim of Changes after my uncle inflated my ego after showing me a bit of it. Demolition was the first Priest album I purchased shortly after, not knowing too much about the members of the band... This isn't the same guy... But the guitar is awesome. Tim Owens is definitely not Rob Halford, but I love this album and I will play One on One as a sort of generic heavy riff in front of people and it usually gets a good response. Owens vocals are great but I feel he obviously gets stacked up against Rob Halford and that's just not fair lol.
Their best-ever moment with Ripper Owens! (Or without Rob Halford, depending on your point-of-view...)
This was the best song for me on this album.
Still one of my alltime Priest faves.
Fucking good album. Slow and heavy dark metal. Love it
Takes me back to the days I used to drive around Melbourne with my cousins.
I don't get why people hate it so much, i took a long time to figure out it was not Rob singing it. Ripper is totally badass and this is one of my favorite albums.
Tim is a great singer...and a really nice down to earth human being. I wish him all the best working with KK s new project.
Ooooh. Certainly evil cool. 🎸🤘🏾😈🤘🏾🎸
Last line is one of the most metal lyrics ever!!!
Now I'm running hell
Heaven won't be the same 🤘🤘🤘
Thank you for highlighting that Bud. You just drew my attention to some epic life advice there.
One of the best band and one of the best their song's...
As I play this loud and proud in the Tropicana parking lot. 11 is and shall be the Volume
obituary song to all metal heads!!!
And again as I play this loud and proud in the Tropicana parking lot. Let's go Brandon and F Jackie. TRUMP 2024
I wish I could write these lyrics back in my high school days...
Jugulator and Demolition are criminally underrated
Most underrated of all underrated JP albums xD
"Tim Owens" did a fine job indeed!
Ripper is amazing singer1 He rocks!!!
I like how I can find songs from this album on youtube now. I heard One on One on the radio a few years ago and I looked it up and all I found was a live version. Before that I had only heard 2 or 3 songs from Painkiller and Dissident Aggressor, and I thought "This can't be them. It doesn't sound like Rob at all." then I looked it up on wikipedia and fornd out about Tim's albums.
That is my story.
As i play this loud and proud in Harrahs parking lot only in Atlantic.
Ripper Owens Judas Priest kickin some Ass Hell Is Home
Love this Album DEMOLITION Ft.lauderdale FLORIDA Shout Out.
Ripper is in a league of its own.
i want this played at my funeral
A song i can so so relate to.
personalmente ,uno de los mejores temas de los Priest ,de cualquier epoca .Soy fanatico de Halford ,pero dejar de lado una joya de vocalista como "Texas Ripper" seria imperdonable ...
one of best songs of that album, demolition.
Whenever Spotify and Tidal let you down...there's always good old youtube
I must admit, this is the first time I've heard anything with Ripper and frankly, it's not too bad. I just read that Faulkner said that this is his favorite song from the Ripper era, so being a guitarist and loving what Richie does, I had to check it out.
Next Judas Priest members: Tim "Ripper" Owens, Richie Faulkner, AJ Mills
this goes out to metal brothers and sisters. the song says it all.
no clue how I just randomly remembered this song but im glad I did
This album is very underrated. I personally loved it. This who are Rob blinded... Admit that Rob did many crappy songs and albums with Judas priest too... Not everything is painkiller... There are also albums like point of entry... and others that I forgot,... because they are forgettable.
I mean, even the next album after painkiller... Most forgot about it, or want it to be forgotten. I also found myself listening to jugulator back then, and it took me a while a assume the big change. At times I found myself comparing to painkiller myself. But these two albums grew on me, just like Tim owens did as a singer.
I also loved Fight, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to heavier songs with Rob Halford.
On 02:34 sound like Alice in Chains.
Love this album!
Ripper kicks ass
Agreed, if they were gonna be inducted into the hall of fame they should include him and they should reunite with him
Ripper Owens is outstanding!
I love this song! It's kickass!
What a kick ass song .. Hell is Home.
Why its still not on spotify 😩
He has different voice range and different from Rob... HOWEVER a lot of ASSHOLES including a few in priest need to accept the fact that they seen, heard, auditioned and chose RIPPER OWENS to carry the torch!!! And he done a damn great job...it's wrong how the band and others are doing him now by not producing or singing his material he sang while in the PRIEST!!! RIPPER u kick ass and we love you man!!!
Fuck ya! home does feel like hell 🤘
Awesome voice.
Best song off of this album.
Ripper kicks ass.🤘🏻🎸‼️
This song rips!
My song for so many years, got me through some dark times
One of there best jams ⚒
Listen to the final scream around 5:08 that penetrated Halfords brain when he heard it.
this is the song we opened up all of our church services with
Its not one is better than the other but you notice the band sounds different with bothe singers its not better or worse its just a different flavor from a wonderful band. I love halford but im very fond of ripper as well
I don't get the hate about Ripper. I mean, he is not Rob halford but he definitely packs some voice. Amazing singer in my opinion.
+Thane Krios agreed
+Thane Krios They hate because people are fucking lame is the best answer for that.
Totally agree with Keith Stone. Truly, Ripper has the more powerful voice...and how many other guys you hear sing Halford's songs anywhere near as well, right? I like Halford, but Ripper...well, rips it up!
But, since some people would complain no matter what happens, there is always static when something changes.
i agree
Thane Krios ripper way better
