A beautiful day to visit to the pest and predator free bird sanctuary island of Tiritiri Matangi.
The bird song in the bush was pretty quiet at this time of year apart from the feeder station. It is heartening to know that the birds can breed in spring withour the threat of predation by rats and stoats and that they have an abundant food source.
