I really enjoyed this episode, and appreciated hearing you guys chat about these pertinent queer topics. A friend of mine said something once that helped me become more confident with approaching people and making the first move as a masc presenting person: remember that most of the creepy or aggressive unwanted behaviour men display in those situations usually follows after hearing “no”, not necessarily in the asking of before. If every man showed others respect after getting turned down, I think we’d have a very different idea about what it means to be assertive. It wouldn’t be inherently tied to being a creep. Knowing you would show respect regardless of the outcome, you’re already 10 steps ahead of most cis dudes 😂 happy flirting!
