They think Defeating Iraq is easier path to victory?? Thats biggest mistake they made because IRaq had 10 days resting time compared to Jordan 5 day.. Most of our top player did not play in vietnam game.. and some of them only played half hour and Jordan has over 7 yellow cards and IRAQ ONly one.

Everybody were trying to avoid Japan in the next round. malaysia and bahrain are just shields that used by South Korea and Jordan to avoid Japan. The fact is, Both Jordan and South Korea are successfully avoid Japan. Logically, they can beat Bahrain and malaysia Easily. If Iraq don't beat Japan, they won't do that act. If korea wanted to deliberately lose they could’ve just sent out their B players instead of having Son, Min Jae Kim, Hwang In Beom, Lee Kang In play for 60-105 minutes. 3 of them already have yellow cards which is a huge risk for them to begin with. Their best goalkeeper tore his ACL on the 18th, which has only gone downhill for the team. the second keeper already conceded 5 goals; he has not played in the national games in a long time and is not as good as the first keeper who plays in the pro Saudi league and objectively has the best stats. Also Hwang hee Chan (2nd best overseas striker) who just recovered from injury played in the second half. They took 20+ shots and took advantage of every penalty/free kicks to lead after stoppage time. Does this sound like a team that wanted to lose?

As someone who’s actually watched Korea’s matches, the players were trying to win but the coach is incompetent. Klinsmann continually uses Cho Gue Sung as a striker when he fumbled every easy chance to score in the last 2 games. Throughout this match Son has had multiple chances where he ignored Cho completely and tried to go all the way without relying on Cho, the team doesn't trust Cho and yet Klinsmann keeps using him as a starter.

In all 3 games Korea has played so far, Korea has lost the physical battles. Bahrain: 57% duels won. Jordan: 53% duels won. Malaysia: 53% duels won. As long as Klinsmann keeps using 442, the midfield is deleted so there is no offense or defense. Since there is no one, there is no build-up and of course, the back-up defense is on top, so one-ball support + 2 center backs have to block everything.

Match fixing is normal in football. You play the game that is in your hand/control and other teams play theirs. To qualify you gotta win YOUR games.

It's not "match fixing", but it's a STRATEGY. The ultimate goal of a team is to progress as far as possible in the tournament, instead of getting kicked out in the 1st round of play-offs.

As someone who’s actually watched Korea’s matches, the players were trying to win but the coach is incompetent. Klinsmann continually uses Cho Gue Sung as a striker when he fumbled every easy chance to score in the last 2 games. Throughout this match Son has had multiple chances where he ignored Cho completely and tried to go all the way without relying on Cho, the team doesn't trust Cho and yet Klinsmann keeps using him as a starter.
