thanks! yep, I like the Streamer more myself in this video. the Thumb has quite a particular slap sound, and the strings are pretty old as well. would sound more full-bodied with a fresh set :)
yep, I love my Warwicks, they fit my playing style so well. not the mention the organic shapes and curves, they look supersweet! and the TAN is a beast, as well :)

Wow, this is awesome! My favourites, by quite a mile are the Thumb and your Fretless, interestingly they both have Ovangkol necks... You can clearly hear the "Warwick Tone" on all the Warwicks though, really distinct. Thank you for sharing!
oddly enough, or maybe it's just the novelty factor - I like the 1998 Streamer most from these :)) I feel a bit bad that both the Thumb and the fretless have old strings on, they have that dirtied mid sound already. but maybe I shall repeat the experiment one day with fresh strings on all :)
@@absurdcus new strings on all of them would be fairer yes, but more expensive! Restringing a bass is bad enough, but 6 string, strings, are pricey. Maybe a Kickstarter? 😉

They all sound great! The Tan had an outstanding depth when sliding down on the low B, that wasn't there on the 'Wicks. I know they've got got it, tho!
the Tan is the only passive bass and the only one with a snappy maple fretboard, sounds great indeed. I prefer the Streamer LX, though, maybe because I just bought it and it still sounds fresh to my ears :)
As a Thumb owner i would say it has the best tone here, followed very closely by the Streamers. Killer riff BTW !! Do you have a link for the beat track ? i'd love jamming on this :p

You got a new bass? I was confused when I first saw that fretted Streamer. I remembered it being fretless. Then I realized that they were two different instruments. Anyway, awesome video again!
thanks! yeah, I loved the sound of my Streamer LX when it was fretted and kind of regretted defretting it, even though I like it a lot as a fretless too. so, I started looking for a new Streamer LX at one point, and I got lucky and scored a great deal :D will be doing more videos with it soon, obviously :))

On this take I somehow preferred the streamer tone over the thumb... and the fretless streamer sounds amazing, too.

i mean sound wise, the tan is pretty much just another jazz bass (a very good one tho) the warwicks have a much more unique sound going for them tbh

Thumb is crystal clear and all, but that Streamer is freaking nasty!!!
The thumb has brighter notes when you pop the strings but overall I like the streamer more

Surprised how good the Streamer LX Fretted sounds. IS the LX fretted 16.6mmm spacing or wider?
yeah, the Streamer is my fave from this video :) all 3 Warwicks have regular 16,5mm string spacing

Were the frets on the streamer rusted?
not rusted but quite a bit of green gunk on there, will be doing a thorough cleaning session on it soon :)
