Dji Mini 3 (non pro) is $695 CAD and Mini 4 Pro is $1430 CAD at BestBuy right now. I can't decide if obstacle avoidance, dynamic tracking, 4K 60fps, etc... are worth paying double 🤔
@@flipincan hard sell for your first drone! The Mini 3 is a great drone for beginners. If you’re an experienced photographer or videographer the Mini 4 Pro is a great choice.
This video is perfect for total beginners that want to know what the rules are. It’s ultimately up to you if you decide a fine is worth the risk but the Canadian and American rules are there to protect other people’s safety first and foremost.
@@CoastalDrone I disagree. Some of the rules so dumb and have little to no impact on safety. For example, not being allowed to fly in national parks. It's literally an open space with very few people around. They want to claim that is disturbs wildlife, but yet they allow helicopter tours in the same area. They should just have a rule where you can't fly lower than 50m. The drones are no longer audible once they're up that high and would have little to no impact on the wildlife.
It's people like you that screw things up for others. Follow the rules so we can continue to enjoy this great hobby without having more restrictions put on us.

@@adamlane7617 i did too just an hour ago 😂
I wanted to see Stephanie flying her new rpas
we're going to cut another video with more footage from her first flight
Just bought a dji 4 pro at Costco for $1299.00 can . WORTH EVERY PENNY .
Don’t fly indoors!
Depends how big your indoors is but generally a good idea not to for sure.
Register a toy????
If the toy weighs 250g or more and flies, then yeah, you gotta register it in case you lose it.
Too many rules. I fly where I want, when I want. Just avoid the obvious stuff like flying into airplanes and people and you're good.

yeah it's shockingly similar to what they keep trying to do to radios, restrict restrict restrict restrict

Can I fly my Air 3S with a trust certificate if I register it with the FAA without a part 107?
Yes as long as you don’t fly for commercial use, over people, or at night.
Legally... who cares

@@craigcollard5341 yeah because if we just comply hard enough, we'll get to keep our rights. that's always worked.
Tell that to the kids who shut down London Gatwick Airport for nearly 2 days a few years back.
@@craigcollard5341nope. It's people like you who follow these nanny state rules to a T and wonder why the government proceed to put in more.
You are a drone flyer or operator... NOT a Pilot!
I guess that's why Transport Canada issues you a " Pilot Certificate " , what's your problem Dude.
Ian and Finn are both commercial helicopter and airplane pilots and have no qualms with calling it a Drone Pilot Certificate.
If anyone wants gift me a DJI drone mini 3 or 4, I don’t mind; there’s still time. 🫶
