Poketto Yeah, even though the N64 is home to some of the best games of all time... I'm not big into it either but I gotta say, the N64 has quite a few really outstanding games...
It's a bit baffling to me too since the GBA has a library and title quality on par with the SNES. I love finding cheap assorted GBA titles at the flea market. But at least he got the PSP titles, another portable where you can find real gems for cheap at the flea market.
What's this? Pat's playing the charm card on not one, but two lovely ladies? I wasn't taking notes. I swear. I really found the negotiation process interesting. In the end, Pat came away with a pretty good deal-- but he really had to work for it. I'm an awful negotiator, so I never would've been able to pull anything like that off... but watching this process-- or what The Shady Jay Show does on episodes of The Game Chasers-- gives me some idea of how the process *can* work. I'm not the most assertive person, though; I tend to accept prices at face value rather than try to whittle them down. The whole experience with the TI-99 system was unfortunate, too. Ugh. I'm a big fan of this series, Pat, and often live vicariously through your swap meet adventures. Thanks so much for continuing to put the time into it!
Sweet that you scored chrono trigger, breath of fire 2 and lufia 2 in one go. I love flea markets and swap meets, you always find some neat stuff and on occasion an awesome score.
Brandish is a pretty cool game. It's sort of an action RPG that was also ported to other systems like the PC Engine and PC-98. It was recently rereleased on the PSP
Go to the Ashland hillbilly flea market in the Ashland, KY, which is in the tri-state, between, WV, OH, & KY. It has a ton of games, from nes, to snes, to any game system.
Brandish is an awesome game! I had to pick up mine in that same condition for nearly $55.00 at my local video game store, but so worth it! I love this game! Thanks for sharing the video.
I love the end to the video. That always happens to me when I leave. I love that swap meet. I live over here in L.A. the pasadena swap meet is ten times bigger but not as half as good as SD one.
in the more recent episode, not sure which one, where you find those CED videodiscs, those are great. i picked up a few of those at my local Goodwill a year or so ago - Gremlins, Ghostbusters, Back To The Future, Cloak and Dagger and a couple others. You can find the player still online but people are asking a bit too much for them. I love the art on them and was thinking of getting them framed and matted to really make it pop
Man, I wish they had flea markets like that where I live in crappy old WIsconsin. Well, I'm sure Wisconsin has some but not out by me. Great episode Pat!
Got to laugh at that guy selling the TI-99. You first meet him and didn't look as if he had a clue what a speech synthesizer was, yet when you come back he tries to sell it to you as if he's some kind of expert on it lol
I love non sports trading cards! Garbage Pale kids are my favorite. :) I wish they had as many as the used to. Whenever I find the retro ones at a thrift store, I have to get them! They are awesome.
I havent been to a flea market in years, and it looks like Im not missing out on much. Sellers are there to pretty much get rid of the stuff cluttering their basement/attic/garage etc. If you find something worth some money you can at least have the decency of selling it at around 50% of ebay prices. People are looking for a deal, you are looking for extra cash and saved space in your house. Make the deal happen.
Ugh! Pat, I wish I can take ypu to our huge fleamarkets here in Altoona, PA! I bought a gamegear with Sonic 2 in it for 5 bucks, and found a huge amount of He Man, Mask, Ghostbusters, Star Wars, Transformers, Voltron figures etc etc ETC! And they were all priced at like 1 - 2 bucks. They had a COMPLETE Millennium Falcon except the box, but with ALL the pieces for just TEN bucks! I was thinking the whole time, "I wish Pat could see this!" :(
***** Awesome! Thank you. I've never had a chance to play that game, even though I've wanted to ever since I saw the HVGN review of the Gargoyle's Quest trilogy.
You're very welcome! I actually need to play that game myself still. I just had a good hunch that if I listened to it's soundtrack, I'd find the awesome song!
I'd dearly love a flea market around here (Columbus OH) that had all those games and stuff. But as for that TI-99 4/a...guess I'm lucky to have my Volunteers of America (local thrift) just a few minutes' walk from me. I've found a later-model Commodore 64, two TI-99 4/as (One beige, one silver and black) and one TRS-80, $4.94 each because the people who put them out, they seem to think they're just fancy computer keyboards and put them with the other boards. I usually have to grab the accessories separately ($1.91 for the power adapter and 90 cents for the TV hookup), but they're still good prices. Now if I could only find a 1541 disc drive for a similarly good price there....
Saw Motley Crue and so many bands of the 80's and 90's. But really good Swap Meet and I would hit up the Spring Valley Swap Meet as well. Miss SD. Awesome SNES pick-ups
Pat, you should add a quick total at the end of the video reflecting total spent for day and total avg eBay price with total savings. Great video! ... Totally! (just wanted to add that word one more time)
I remember when collecting was fun. There was a time just a few years ago where 150$ for those SNES games would've been way too much, now it's below market price. So lame. There's a reason I stopped collecting, but I stopped when I got most of the games I wanted in the first place minus a few rarities/uncommon games (I skipped on so many copies of Little Samson because I used to think 100$ was too much for a single NES game... I do deeply regret not getting it since now there's no way I'm ever getting it anymore).
would be cool to have people phone in and ask questions and pat and ian answer them on the podcast. would be cool i think it would raise the amount of volume of view, make the pod cast more interesting and would be fun to hear some nerdy banter.
I know this might seem a bit out of place but Pat, please consider reviewing The Rocketeer on NES! I feel like there's quite a Bit you could say about it and Vol.24 of NP has a walkthrough of it :)
Nice stuff Pat! Honestly you probably could have tried to wind him down on the whole box of SNES games. After selling doubles you probably would have come out on top! Great deal for the games you did get though!
I'm not sure why, but this has been one of my favorite youtube series. In all, it's 240p glory.
Pat doesn't know how to appreciate the GBA, probably the best handheld ever...
Poketto Yeah, even though the N64 is home to some of the best games of all time... I'm not big into it either but I gotta say, the N64 has quite a few really outstanding games...
Pat has Lonely Goomba to handle those
Karen Elizabeth I guess pat isn't big into handhelds... While the lonely goomba only plays handhelds...
Ruko Michiharu And we're still waiting for Ian's Happy Handhelds show!
Someday... someday...
It's a bit baffling to me too since the GBA has a library and title quality on par with the SNES. I love finding cheap assorted GBA titles at the flea market.
But at least he got the PSP titles, another portable where you can find real gems for cheap at the flea market.
"I'm not really saving that much."
Saves almost what he paid :P
That girl was mad uncomfortable when Pat hit on her lmfaooo
What's this? Pat's playing the charm card on not one, but two lovely ladies? I wasn't taking notes. I swear.
I really found the negotiation process interesting. In the end, Pat came away with a pretty good deal-- but he really had to work for it. Steam is better Can we see a less play of the game you collected?
Peter Skerritt That was a very insightful post. Also very well-written.
7:51 - Speaking of something you can get in and out of quickly...
I was watching random Pat videos in my feed today, can anyone imagine getting that lot of SNES games for $200 in 2023?
even more in 2024 lol
Hey Pat you could've picked up that gal...missed opportunity
+SampsoNThEFee In the spirit of the episode: Yuuup!!!
Pat that girl was mad cute. you shoulda been in an out of her lol 😂😂😂😂
This is my favorite episode by far. Nice to see Pat so animated.
Pat is the master of picking up girls at the flea market, its really an art in a way
No
That Pokemon/Warcraft girl was pretty cute Pat. I have no doubt you exchanged digits afterwards :)
11:42 "Get outta the road, you damn hippie!"
I love the "Reseller Alert" parts!
0:28 that is hilarious, don't know why it cracks me up that much. Keep the flea market goodness coming, Pat & Franck!
Some smooth moves with the ladies there Pat
I like the song at the end that played while showing Pat's buys. The song is from the NES game, Demon's Crest - Palace of Decadence.
Love the hard work to add graphics and noises when the prices come up, lots of extra work
9:02 I had that same model of tan and brown Fisher Price cassette player as a kid!
I figured it out!....Frank is Marc maron incognito!
When I heard Chrono Trigger, I had the biggest grin. My favorite game of all time.
4:28 a few years back I passed on a demon Crest copy more than likely it's the same one pat .lol
Pat's biological clock be tickin
Sweet that you scored chrono trigger, breath of fire 2 and lufia 2 in one go. I love flea markets and swap meets, you always find some neat stuff and on occasion an awesome score.
Brandish is a pretty cool game. It's sort of an action RPG that was also ported to other systems like the PC Engine and PC-98. It was recently rereleased on the PSP
I was just thinking about Jem for some ungodly reason recently - that was such a great show as a kid. I rented the VHSes a ton.
men, i wish there were flea markets in my country, old game prices are crazy in chile
Is it just me, or did the guy say "Twenty bucks" for the pong console not 40
radioactivechimp Woops, typo!
Just slap a TH-cam annotation over it
Karen Elizabeth Done!
Pat the NES Punk sadly only pc users can see annotations. Chromecast firetv android etc etc all cant see them
shadoom Yeah, though, that's the best that can be done. Re-uploading the fixed video itself could cause some undesired confusion, too...
Smooth moves on that girl, Pat! lol
I see you picking up those chicks Pat
Go to the Ashland hillbilly flea market in the Ashland, KY, which is in the tri-state, between, WV, OH, & KY. It has a ton of games, from nes, to snes, to any game system.
Cool music at the end
Brandish is an awesome game! I had to pick up mine in that same condition for nearly $55.00 at my local video game store, but so worth it!
I love this game! Thanks for sharing the video.
I have a ti-92 at home, it's basically a calculator laptop hybrid from the 90's, such a sick graphics calc
I can't wait until it starts warming up around here and the outdoor flea markets start up again. Should be another month or two.
Pat channeled is inner Dean Ambrose with that guy trying to sell that DDR set.
I love the end to the video. That always happens to me when I leave. I love that swap meet. I live over here in L.A. the pasadena swap meet is ten times bigger but not as half as good as SD one.
Damn.. you were really laying the moves on those ladies. Nice work. Next step is to follow up and seal the deal next time you see them.
That's awesome about Jem! If I remember correctly it came on after GI Joe & I caught a few myself! 😉
4:00 I swear he said twenty bucks not forty. When I turned on captions it said twenty as well!
GBA is one of my favorite systems to collect and play. A lot of good games
These videos make my day for some reason. I just love the feel of them
Anyone know the music at 11:50? It sounds familiar but I can't put my finger on it.
lol "I don't fucking care where you got them" ya kill me Pat
Hope you keep making these, watched the whole series so good
Love the end music Pat good job
in the more recent episode, not sure which one, where you find those CED videodiscs, those are great. i picked up a few of those at my local Goodwill a year or so ago - Gremlins, Ghostbusters, Back To The Future, Cloak and Dagger and a couple others. 11:43 "get out of the road, ya damn hippy". "run em over" lol
Man, I wish they had flea markets like that where I live in crappy old WIsconsin. Well, I'm sure Wisconsin has some but not out by me. Great episode Pat!
lol anything with punk in the title must bash hippies, you passed the test!
Pat has such game.
Pat the NES Lothario!
Lol pat real smooth with that girl
I can't believe you just passed up that original Macintosh Portable at 8:26
That girl wearing the green shirt is sooooo hot!
Pat, why didn't you make a move!? XD
I always look forward to these Pat, thank you.
There was a Macintosh Portable at 8:28
Got to laugh at that guy selling the TI-99.
I miss flea markets. The ones up north are all closed for the winter.
I really wish you did more of these.
I havent been to a flea market in years, and it looks like Im not missing out on much. Jelly on the sun and the opportunity to visit a flea market... northern germany is stuck in a monthlong fuck up weather.
Ugh! Pat, I wish I can take ypu to our huge fleamarkets here in Altoona, PA! OH and not the new M Falcon either, it was the ORIGINAL from what...1979 I think it said?
Mrs. Yellow_Ledbetter I grew up in Bedford:p
The RCA studio II, the Pat The NES Punk meme.
I wonder if it has any homebrew?
What music is playing during the "what did Pat get" segment at the end?
I'd like to know too plz
It's from Demon's Crest... which is fitting since he got the game!
th-cam.com/video/VN5u60S3l6I/w-d-xo.html
***** Awesome! Thank you. I've never had a chance to play that game, even though I've wanted to ever since I saw the HVGN review of the Gargoyle's Quest trilogy.
You're very welcome! I actually need to play that game myself still. I just had a good hunch that if I listened to it's soundtrack, I'd find the awesome song!
Wow, can't believe you had to work so hard for a deal on those SNES games. The retro market is getting insane!
Pat dropping the swag with the ladies :-P
Wish there was swap meets like this in Australia you're lucky to find even a couple of games at ours
I remember waking up at 6am on Saturday to watch cartoons and the first one that came on was Jem. After that it was Transformers. Ah the good ol days!
8:03 a Dratini and a Zubat!
did you get that girl's number?
Pat, what is the song at the end of this video called?
I'd dearly love a flea market around here (Columbus OH) that had all those games and stuff. But as for that TI-99 4/a...guess I'm lucky to have my Volunteers of America (local thrift) just a few minutes' walk from me.

Awesome video Pat. Thanks for keeping them coming!
I love flea market madness. Take me with you on the next one!
what is the music at the end
I'd take that snes deal in a heart beat . Chrono trigger has been going for over 100 by itself
What was the dope track for the end pricing. That was brilliant sounding.
Saw Motley Crue and so many bands of the 80's and 90's. But really good Swap Meet and I would hit up the Spring Valley Swap Meet as well. Miss SD. Awesome SNES pick-ups
It's really cool that your dad does stuff with you Pat.
Wish Vancouver actually had a good flea market! Keep editing these pat, love em!
i have so much to learn on haggling, this is awesome. subbed!
Pat, you should add a quick total at the end of the video reflecting total spent for day and total avg eBay price with total savings. Great video! ... Totally! (just wanted to add that word one more time)
They might be some "ho-hum" sports games at 4:06..but at least they're on top of a sweet lookin' record player!
Its just its like its just like a mini mall
Pat should take Ian with him, id love to hear Ian's commentary on prices and sellers.
Yea that's the Kobeys swap meet. I gotta check that place out.
Oh that Jem audio casette is awesome!
Omg I was humming the flea market madness theme so I checked and here's a new one! It must be the illuminati...
Love these so much. I'll be going to Englishtown all summer so maybe i'll record some of my adventures for you!
I remember when collecting was fun. There was a time just a few years ago where 150$ for those SNES games would've been way too much, now it's below market price. So lame.

Great episode. How much you asking on that dope Spirit shirt Frank?
lol i have no idea why but i really love these flea market videos lol keep em coming
I know this might seem a bit out of place but Pat, please consider reviewing The Rocketeer on NES! I feel like there's quite a Bit you could say about it and Vol.24 of NP has a walkthrough of it :)
Whenever Franks intro is played, what's that supposed to be from? Some random Famicom game?
I have that Apple printer in my vintage computer collection! But not the box :(
Made me like you again @ 10 minutes giving that dude shit. LOL
Nice stuff Pat! Honestly you probably could have tried to wind him down on the whole box of SNES games. After selling doubles you probably would have come out on top! Great deal for the games you did get though!
Is this in the San Diego area??
I love how people at flea markets think they are entitled to such large prices for stuff that probably isn't worth half what their asking.
