While watching this video, I am surprised to know, how close are our Andhra & Punjabi recipes. There you call them “Wadi or Wadiyan” and here in Andhra we call them Wadiyaa lu”. This small difference is because of the Telugu language system of suffixing “lu” after anything you wish to make it plural, just the way in Hindi we add “ yan”. I travelled around the whole India barring North & North East. As I understood so far, Punjabis & Andhrites are the real connoisseurs of India. We deserve a big applause 😀😀😀😀

Thanks for your appreciation. You cannot use cornflour for thickening this gravy. Corn flour will make a shiny, slimy gravy that is common in Chinese curies, and that thickens really bad after sometime (becomes very gooey after a while!) It does not taste good with our desi curries

Yesterday night I cooked gheeya and it came out very tasty. The best part was the trick of adding flour ,it turned the gravy smooth n thick. Earlier no matter what I did but the gravy used be runy. Thanks .looking forward to another creation of yours
Hello. I prepared day before yesterday. Badi zabardast bani thi jee. Frankly I dislike lauki. I last prepared lauki ki sabzi some 8-9 years back. I had a terrible tummy upset. So I never prepared it again. Now during lockdown I got a delivery of organic vegetables which included lauki. I cooked thinking I won't eat as I may have an upset tummy again. It came up so well.
