That being said, the market is so currently saturated with self made artists that labels tend to overlook those who aren't already making millions on their own, whether or not they have talent. That being said, you and I agree that he makes good music.
+chiffmonkey You're right to be disillusioned with the industry, it's the reason I made my initial comment (you SHOULD have major labels...etc.). It's a shame talent like isn't more widely known. However, I suppose there is some freedom in being self sufficient, as the lawyers normally associated with large label names aren't an issue.
I was obsessed with this song like five years ago! Had totally forgot how it went (besides that i really knew i liked it and thought it was amazing) but klicked on the video mostly out of curiosity and when the first note hit my ear I was like "oh, THIS is how it went" and then the song just sent waves after waves of goosebumps all over my body through the entire song! Market appeal for self made artists has never been higher, thanks to groups like Walk Off the Earth and Pentatonix, and you can bet Mr. Holfelder makes a tidy sum from iTunes sales, a chunk of which some labels would be happy to take over. That being said, the market is so currently saturated with self made artists that labels tend to overlook those who aren't already making millions on their own, whether or not they have talent. That being said, you and I agree that he makes good music.
+chiffmonkey You're right to be disillusioned with the industry, it's the reason I made my initial comment (you SHOULD have major labels...etc.). It's a shame talent like isn't more widely known. However, I suppose there is some freedom in being self sufficient, as the lawyers normally associated with large label names aren't an issue.
I was obsessed with this song like five years ago! Had totally forgot how it went (besides that i really knew i liked it and thought it was amazing) but klicked on the video mostly out of curiosity and when the first note hit my ear I was like "oh, THIS is how it went" and then the song just sent waves after waves of goosebumps all over my body through the entire song! I started to remember more as the song went on, and got excited when i realised i had a really great part coming next, and still was so impressed when they came up! What a masterpiece
