The thing that triggers me most is the whispers with breathing sounds with ear caps on two mic’s where the sound switches from ear to ear. Nothing else compares. Right as it’s switching from ear to ear is where it triggers most.
And once again I ignored whispering ASMR videos for months but when I saw you posted one I immediately saved it for tonight. Tbh yr such a gem girl ;-;

I've been following your channel for quite a while now, and your videos are the ones that i personally expect the most. With the popularity that ASMR is getting nowadays, i'm really glad i found this channel, which is based on purely two things: good quality and being simple. And that's the main thing i love, just being simple, you can upload a non talking video today and then a whispered one next week and i know i'll love both of them, because it reminds me of how simple was everything back in the day in the kindergarten that you almost fell asleep because of someone else's voice. A massive thank you for everything!!

My favorite triggers would probably be microphone scratching and upclose hand visuals, even camera tapping! I also like gentle mouth sounds as well as textured sounds... If I continue I'll probably list off every trigger lol
I did try camera tapping once before with my phone and it was terrible :P but it's amazing how people can do it and have it be so tingly!

Dear Rhi,
So, about a year ago I transitioned from a 3rd shift job to a 1st shift job. I struggled very badly with falling asleep at a decent hour because I was used to being up after dawn. I started listening to soft music to help, and then I found "satisfying videos". I had NO CLUE what ASMR was. One evening, as I was dozing, I unintentionally tapped one of YOUR videos. My eyes were already heavy when I heard you start whispering. I found it very weird, but I knew if I opened my eyes I would be wide awake. So I tried to just relax and IGNORE the strange chick whispering. Then you started tapping. I sat up thinking "what the hell am I listening to?" I watched for a few minutes and I fell into such a relaxed state. I have anxiety and depression too, but I wasn't looking to ease those. I just wanted to fall asleep before 4am. The more I watched the sleepier I got. When I woke up the next day all I could think about was the weird tapping and scratching you were doing on a funky plastic head. Needless to say, ASMR is my nightly go to now. You are still one of my favorites, not only because you were the first I watched, but because I truly enjoy your soft voice. I want to thank you. You have brought me plenty of sound sleep and relaxation over the past year. -Sara

The same thing happened to me with the first time getting tingles. The first video I watched was a haircut role play, and I thought it was odd but I kept watching. As I watched and heard the sounds, and began to feel this relaxing tingling sensation, I thought it was weird and not normal. I had NO idea that it was an actual thing.
I watched this vid last night and it put me to sleep in under an hour.

Apparantly they did a study last year to see if they could connect ASMR to certain personality traits. The study was based on the BFI personality traits. The group who experienced ASMR scored higher than the control group in the categories Openness to experience and Neuroticism, just like they hypothesised. They did score lower on the other traits but because this research is relatively new more research would be required to say why. Purely based on my own score after doing that test it seems to match although I didn't read the article thoroughly enough to see what the scores were for the control group. But I definitely scored high on the two traits they expected to be higher.
