If you have ANY questions about REAL Broker before making the leap, book a no obligation exploration call with me here:calendly.com/iammarvintherealtor/consultation
Absolutely. They even offer something completely new called the “private label” program for independent brokerages where you run your brand completely as a stand alone entity with REAL as the chassis in the background but it’s state specific. I look forward to connecting!
How does the REAL help dual-career agents? I'm available after 3 pm M-F and weekends off. I can also do some virtual training by zoom during the week if my schedule allows. How does this brokerage prepare new agents that work part-time for success? I'm having a difficult time getting mentorship and shadowing an experienced agent on listing appointments and just overall processes to establish business.
Fantastic question! Your timeframe of availability is typically when the majority of buyers who also work full-time jobs are available. The great thing about this brokerage is you will have a quasi team that will support you if you ever have a client that you need to do a showing for while you are at work. Many of our agents are also dual career, so the fact that this brokerage is not only virtual, but has strategies for all types of agents locally puts us all in position to win. And the economics here are ideal for dual career folks since it’s no monthly fees. Your speed of growth may of course be a little slower than someone that does real estate full-time but the great thing is that you will build an income stream slow and steady so once you build up your part-time income stream from real estate to the point where it replaces your full-time income, you will be able to transition with ease. I’m happy to hop on a call to talk about that because I have many agent partners in Houston. Email me at info@marvinorieh.com to discuss further.
good explanation. my only concern about real is financial. I've been following their quarterly reports and they're consistently operating at a net income loss. Are you familiar with LPT or Epique? What do you think of these companies?
Great question. As a Wall Street guy, I would consider Real still in growth phase which usually comes with operating at a loss for a few years. But what I love about being here is so much of their software is proprietary, and they, in addition to that technology, are getting ready to drop a new wallet/credit card feature for agents that is something that has not been done from any brokerage. The ability as an agent to borrow against future income based on forecasted models of revenue share that’s expected is a Gamechanger. I am familiar with those other companies you mentioned and explored their model as well. LPT is not publicly traded so the stock they offer would only as valuable as the available market to purchase it, which is nowhere at this stage and Epique in my opinion, doesn’t have a national presence, and I don’t believe their stock if they offer it is publicly traded either. so the categories I love about Real is the culture, technology, economics, and opportunity (since it’s in growth phase) there may be a company out there that can beat Real in one or two of those categories but no one can beat Real in all four so it was a no-brainer. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
I have my license but haven’t “hung it” since last year. Is Real a great place to have my license hanging just to work as a referral agent and to make personal investment purchases?
Great question. You can do exactly that in most states and now not have to worry about the monthly overhead of fees and you also get a few personal deals commission split free per year. It’s the perfect solution for active full time agents and those that want to hang thier license and not have to join a board if you don’t want to.

Great explanation, thanks for breaking it down! Does Real allow you to create to keep your brand, and be brokered by them?

This has been really insightful. Definetly gives more opportunities and room for growth as a new agent
