I love your live sphagnum moss! Where did you get it? Do sharry baby orchid love the orchid potting mix or clay pebbles?

Sharry Baby ‘Raspberry Chocolate’? Or Aka Baby ‘Raspberry Chocolate’? Oh well, they are all similar I guess. Though I like Aka better.

In an attempt to simplify orchid nomenclature, scientists are constantly reclassifying and lumping similar groups of orchids together. Most laelias, sophronites, and similar orchids are all classified as “cattleya” now and the same goes with the oncidium-like intergenerics all just being “oncidium.” So, yes, even tho the tag says “aka” raspberry chocolate, it is still just a variety of the sharry baby.

No, AKA Baby is a progeny of Sharry Baby but not a Sharry Baby proper, with the pod parent being Oncidium Jimbo and the pollen parent being Oncidium Sharry Baby. As such, it should properly be called AKA Baby 'Raspberry Chocolate'. Same goes for Onc Heaven Scent. Looks and smells like Sharry Baby, it is another Sharry Baby progeny (crossed with Onc. Ruffles).
