"We don't have a choice, the world is cruel". That line was really powerful. So powerful in fact that I had to interupt the anime, find a video where it's shown, and then comment on it. Mikasa says that line right after realising that Eren can't transform because he doesn't want to kill Annie... and that the reason why he doesn't want to... is that he has feelings for her. Mikasa has consistently shown a very deep attachment for Eren that goes far beyond fraternal/familial love... so yes, it's fitting that these words would come to her mouth. She devoted herself to Eren most of her life, supporting him and saving him more times than I care to count... but his affection goes towards another. The world is cruel.

Wow. This isn't like many of the SnK AMVs that are basically scenes set to awesome music (some of them are really well done too!). This is an audio-visual essay, right here! The message and theme of this AMV is tightly focused and skillfully edited. I don't know anything about Film editing, but as a Literature person, I would rate this essay an A+.
It's amazing how, as the anime progresses, our perspective of the characters change. I mean, at first I felt pure hatred for titan shifters. Now that I know what's going on I can't exactly find the good and the bad guy cause I kinda understand both sides. This is what I love about this show. It's like real life. There's not black and white or good and evil. It depends on who tells the story and whose side you're with.
Eren has taught us that when the world is horrible, cruel, and unrelenting, the will to fight rages on. Even if your opponent (the world) has been dealt the better hand, it doesn't mean there isn't hope. So remember this, when the world tries to fight you and you give in the world wins. ALWAYS. Fight. Back.

i finally was able to watch this Anime, and i was pretty blown. it is a really good Anime. But still.. Anime like these shouldnt give rise to Anime watchers, Anime in general should give rise to them.
This needs to get bumped to the top of the search page, cause it makes the rest of them look like crap. How did you crop the clips so that characters appearing without the scenery (like on 1:42)? that was a nice touch.
I preferred the anime version to the manga overall, except for this part.. I don't like what they did to Eren's character, in the manga he wasn't such a wimp, he transforms right after Mikasa says the world is cruel. Also, he doesn't go all berserk and loose his humanity, he just fights her and wins when she falls down the wall. Plus not so many innocent people died in the process. Also, he doesn't hesitate in the last second when he rips her neck open.. In the anime they kinda made a contradiction.. His comrades worry that Erin will kill her when he looses control, but when it's all over and Annie crystalizes, Armin tells Erin that he let it happen because he hesitated. That doesn't make sense because they didn't want to kill her anyway, if Erin didn't hesitate, he would have killed her. I get that they wanted to make it exciting, but they ruined Erin's character, he was quit annoying at the end :/

Brilliantly done but I REALLY feel like you should've added that one part about her wanting to be normal (from Episode 23) in the end. You don't even have to have any visuals, just make it black with dialogue and people will get the message, in fact it might impact people more that way. Still, great job though, really fun to watch!

Pretty good AMV, but I felt that the transition at 2:35 was jarring. Eren needed a bit of monologue, and everything after that felt very rushed, like you were running out of time. The scene selection could also have been improved towards the end. The first half of the AMV was still very good, though.
