Great to hear Mark White back commentating. Always so funny, well prepared, and professional. Takes the time to learn facts about the players and considerate enough to find out the correct pronunciation of the players' names. (This is not a critic of the person but how that person conducts themselves in doing their job) On the other hand there's George Teyecheya, who other than his voice, does little in the way of providing insight to the match or at least able to correctly state what he's just observed. In this match alone he's misspoken multiple times. When George Prima Facie isn't misspeaking he's overstating the obvious with inane points. Lastly I don't know how many languages he speaks but I certainly would have a good guess at how many he doesn't, in how he constantly and irreverently jumbles the names of the players. An honest effort in your native language would suffice. Overall I just wish Teyecheya would do a better job, he's got a nice sounding voice, and seems like a well-intentioned person. But he should stop spending so much time in his car on hot Arizona days though. Here's a couple of George Prima Facie Teyecheya fumblings: 31:07 GT: said MBE Allison Fisher is a long time sponsored player by Mezz. NOPE. MBE AF was with Cuetec for forever. MBE AF just made the announcement in April of this year, 2023. 55:54 GT: During a safety battle he make the non sequitor comment, "This is what grinders do. They just grind you down with shots like this." Uh, what? Larson was shooting another safety in response to MBE AF's safety. It was hardly an offensive position that Larson was taking.
Too much focus and close up on the players. Not enough visual of the table lay to determine if the incoming player has a shot, what they may be looking at, etc. At one point, a ball was close to the long rail (I think it was the 6 with the 8 almost married to it) and the view doesn't zoom in for the viewer (or commentators) to know how the player may play the shot; in another instance, the view was zoomed in on Allison while the object ball, (in this case the 2 ball) was not even in the picture. By the time it was in the picture, Allison was ready to shoot and the viewer has almost no time to adjust. Again the viewer has no concept of the shot at hand and not enough time to get the feel of the table or the current shot options. Instead the camera angles are switching several times every few seconds making it difficult for the viewer to enjoy following what's actually happening. Yet to give the video a thumbs down may give the impression that the game, the players or the event itself isn't worthy, which of course is not the case. The video production isn't worthy of this event. The game, the players, the event and the viewers deserve better billiard tv.
I’m with you Susannia7039; You are correct in all your points. ( not that anyone listens) They refuse to correct their shortcomings in the video department. Maybe a union thing, The camera 🎥 person hasn’t a clue and no one is allowed to correct them. (?)
Since we’re down for awhile with the clock malfunction: Let me point out a couple of commenters errors already during the first game. Not nice to make fun of a player’s glasses. I will put up with either of you (you name it,your personal item) that she cleans your clocks in say a race to 21 of nine ball. Next ; you continue to make fun of master Joey Tate for shooting the Purple five ball when the four ball was the next ball in order. Let me point out he did this in a Matchroom Sports organized event. The ONLY entity in the WORLD!!! who uses a purple five ball. Now you must understand that every other organization and every pool room in the WORLD has used a purple FOUR ball for around a couple of centuries. ( How many millions of us may have made the same error?) Also note young Tate was a junior, playing in a Professional Main Event, And playing in a match against ( many say possibly the best player of all time) SVB. and doing very well. (!) Now, George T.,I am very, very aware of your continuing ill - advised comments over and over and over from the Booth, but you Mark,( although your not “ my cup of tea “ ) for a pool commentator, I do respect you and your opinions.( generally ). Hopefully,a bit more thought in comments from the Booth. Lastly,Thanks to Predator for (except for the camera work and the commutators booth) bringing us these great matches. I guess I realize you are not doing it for us out here, just saying I really appreciate what we get. If it helps; I do have two Predator cue sticks,a Predator light over my table, a Predator rack ,I use Predator chalk exclusively, and I use a Predator glove. Thanks again Predator adios
Predator Team, 1:40:57, tell your commentators, especially Mark White, to stop promoting Matchroom. Matchroom will NOT and have NOT promoted any Predator Events.
Tuve el privilegio de poder estar hay y verlos en persona es una gran bendición
OMG Allison Fisher is my favorite Pool player of all time.. graceful and elegant. Could watch her for hours. I need training from her

Commentators referred to the game as “ scrappy” but I think it was just sloppy. Too many easy shots missed by players of this standard.
My wife is at this tournament. She got to play April earlier.

I promote every pool event. Yhats matchrooms choice whether or not they do
I think April needs to go back to the practice table a bit. She’s not ready for pro events.
