Hi Danielle I found this video by coincidence as a suggested video after watching a specifically selected Excel one. I am very happy to have found YOU on TH-cam. You are knowledgeable and your video is very engaging... You know how to present difficult stuff in a digestible way.... I will make sure to watch some of your other videos soon and will also subscribe to your channel. I would prefer (it's just a personal preference) if you mute the music while you explain. Thanks again for this nice video.... BTW, I am Nabil Mourad (Microsoft MVP) the OfficeInstructor channel
Yes, exactly! SQL allows you to request specific data from a relational database that organizes information in tables and columns. For example, in digital philology, you can use SQL to query a table containing a corpus of textual data for analysis.
This is an amazing video! Your style of teaching is so great, you're able to catch the attention of learners and get us into the topic being discussed. Perfect explanation of SQL. Thank you!
WOW. Only TH-camr I have found that have creative content to translate the complexity of software into simple and digestible bites that beginners can understand! Instead of using engineers' language but using common language to explain it. Thank you! I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into this vid and reflects high quality of the vid!
Currently studying AWS and kept hearing about "NoSQL Databases" like DynamoDB - thanks for the share. curiosity brought me here, an epic LEGO segment made me stay for future tutorials! Massive thanks dude! :)
This was extremely helpful and the analogies made it much easier to absorb the info. Working in sales I would never imagine myself having to know this but here we are thank you so much.
LOVED the use of Lego in video. I work with youth and use Lego to teach elementary and high school. The simplicity is brilliant and now feel I have better understanding of SQL.
Thanks for the introduction! I've come across it and done some SQL at uni, but had forgotten it. I'm applying for a job now where I need to know SQL hehe, so this came in handy ;)
For someone interested in databases and starting from just interest not any real Life computer experience except from graphic designing (Adobe Illustrator), what advice would you give for me learning enough languages to land an ENTRY LEVEL job? In short, what would be a 2nd complimentary language to make me marketable?

But outside of that, what I gathered is size and capabilities separate SQL from excel. SQL databases can be massive in size, where excel cannot. Also the ability to automate population of a database via some type of forum a person may fill out. Obviously, you can't have someone fill out a SQL database row by row, you'd need to automate that somehow. I'm sure there's much more too.

I learnt r ,java and learning python now , do I still need SQL because the key things mentioned here I can equally do it in python
