Dawg you killed the bassline....I might argue that it's the most important key to a good R&B beat followed by the lead as a close second. Great job big dawg. 🔥🔥🔥
I keep coming back to this video to view beat 2! The guitar at the beginning sounds so smooth bro, when you grooving between Fm9 and Gm7 - that guitar sounds like the one from the Kontakt Factory Library "Jazz Guitar"? Or is it from a different library?
Fire man!! Btw I see that you compose beat more than 15 years. My question is: how long or how many years it takes to play the piano easily like this? I think that the musical theory is much better than having all the vst of the world but not knowing how to enjoy 100% (not even 20) if you don’t know how to play it
I appreciate it bro! I agree - Having a little knowledge of theory and being able to play piano definitely help. If I were starting out learning to play piano, I would start with just a few chords and scales. But instead of stressing about learning to play, just have fun exploring the keys first. By literally just moving your fingers across the keyboard and enjoying it, you'll come up with all kinds of ideas and in turn, you'll learn to play. As long as you don't rush and just have fun, I'd say it'll take about 2-3 months for your "eyes to open" to the relationship between the notes/keys. (Everyone's journey is different, but just remember to have fun.)
@@Jerikowsp No problem bro. Btw, if you use the Juno one (Arturia), you just need to adjust the pitch bend a little. Just reach out if you end up needing help setting it.
@@melotheproducer I’m definitely a fan!! Others channels are doing 90-2000s but yours is polished ready for the stage legit !! How you ain’t on some label is beyond me
That early 2000s RnB sound is actually coming back this sounds modern.
Right. R&B started getting so out of hand that they had to go back and bring the old producers out of retirement. 😂
i have definitely learnt from your beats that drums following the melody gives an all round more encompassing song and vibe unique to the song
Very well said. Of course, I totally agree lol. Thanks for checking it out.

Hi @melowilliam,Please assist with the best plugins for bass?
Hey bro. I've been using mostly 808 Studio II for my basses lately.
yo may i ask what particular era/type of beat was this called ? great vid btw
Thanks. 🙏🏾 I'd say R&B specifically from around 2006-2011 (give or take).

The R&B I miss so heavily. Hopefully R&B songwriters get back to more smooth lyrical writing without vulgarity on stuff like this.
Thank you. 🙏🏾 My sentiments exactly. But I'm working on some projects with a great writer, so I'll have some music for you to check out soon.
