  • After installing my front and back half kits, the next big item is the new suspension system from Motobilt. This is a Double triangulated 4-link kit. it uses 1.25" joints for both upper and lower arms, uses 5/8" hardware for each joint, and has removable crossmembers for easy servicing. This Kit is for TJ, LJ, and YJ Jeeps and creates a perfect base for custom suspension.
Front link vertical separation at the frame = 7-9/16”
Rear link vertical separation at the frame = 5-3/16”

Uploading and filming has been slow for me lately. Im on a tight deadline to finish the TJ so filming has taken a backseat. I will keep filming as I can, especially on some of the less tedious work.
Giveaway is still running!!! we are almost halfway there (3-12-23) so have your friends subscribe and once we hit 1K someone will get a sweet giveaway package!

That's exactly why I'll use Motobilt every chance I get building my TJ . That looks awesome. I'm a long way from getting that but it's gonna happen lol

Super slick build. So much work you’re putting in and taking us along and showing us every step of the way is badass! 🤘

Are you still working on this one? I really want to see it through, would like to see how this kit all comes together being it’s somewhat new there aren’t any videos out except the Motobilt ones, and they don’t show a whole lot. Hopefully your going to keep posting videos!

Have the same kit, what are your front driveline plans? I have a 05+ Dana 60 front with an LS and have not started installing this kit yet?

you will have to run a carrier bearing for the front shaft. With the Hemi/4l80/241c, my rear yoke sits right at the back of the rear crossmember. Its VERY tight in the front so fitting the carrier bearing can be a challenge. Ill be sure to cover it soon in a video. Drivelines will be 1410 non-cv shafts from Yukon

Looks awesome, how low does the skid hang below the frame??

similar to the factory skid. Ill end up close to 20" to the skid at ride height

Can I use this kit as a three link in the front. I don't need full hydro steering.

Technically yes you could. However I would run their original 4 link kit (MB1517). It has been used as a 3 link front in the past and has some different geometry characteristics that may suit it better for that.

@@RecoilOff-Road Yeah I kinda picked that out but like you I was thinking upgrade.
