I think that building you pointed at in the beginning is the Waldorf, and it’s featured in the Ginger Rogers film ‘Weekend at the Waldorf’. (I could be wrong though) Also another film comment: if you like fashion related stories, there’s a really interesting movie called Phantom Thread.
