Good Morning, They have not arrived yet so we are unsure. We can give you the download manual for the XP3 which will have the information in it.

I jus got my xp2, question? How much clearance do you need for the embroidery arm front to back? (For biggest hoop)
That's a great question. I would recommend allowing 16" of space.

Is the compact muvit dual feed that comes with the xp3 different than the one that came out last year?

@@allbrands1976 does the magnetic hoop leave marks on the machine bed? I have read some experienced this?
@@raggedyanna6-Missy I have not. I can say that both the 5x7 and the new 10x0 Brother magnetic hoops each have a protective strip along the side to prevent this. The Dime hoops have a felt strip on the bottom to prevent this. These likely also assist in keeping the hoops moving smoothly across the bed of the machine. I suppose if you had something heavy in the hoop, over time, it's possible.

If you purchase the XP3 update for an XP1 will you be missing the XP2 updates?
Yes, you will need the XP2 updates for the features on that machine. I hope that helps.
@@allbrands1976 Wow, my local dealer told me I didn't need to do upgrade 2 in order to get the benefits of 2 if I did upgrade 3. Now I'm confused!!
@@SaraPurvey The dealer is not giving you the correct information. You can put upgrade 3 on your machine, but all of the features of upgrade 2 will show as greyed out when you do your update, and you will not have access to them unless you install upgrade 2. I hope that helps. It's great if someone isn't interested in upgrade two, and only upgrade three they don't have to purchase all of them. Barbara

Hi Laura! It omits the spool so I don't see why not. I have not tried it yet.

@@laurakuffler2306 Hi Laura, There are a set amount of longstitch designs in the machine and the upgrade. They are fixed. Does that answer your question?
