I can wrap my mind around the fact that it's now 15 years since he went missing. It feels like it was yesterday to me. I think of him very often and regularly google his name in the hope that I may have missed any possible updates. One of the most haunting cases I can remember, my heart goes to him and his family. This show didn't tell it's viewers that the reason why there was no CCTV of Andrew other than him leaving Kings Cross station on the day of his disappearance & 4 weeks had passed before anyone knew he'd caught a train to London because the police focused all their efforts in trying to prove Andrew's loving caring & distraught father was responsible for his son's disappearance. As with most missing persons cases all over the world the police/law enforcement first assumptions are that a member or members of their family is responsible or they've intentionally run away or started a new life. By the time they've concluded either fact has nothing to do with their disappearance too much time has passed for them to fully explore more sinister scenarios....
I still can't get my head around Andrew's disappearance. All that I can come to conclude is that he planned in the comimg weeks to travel to London that Friday. It makes sense to me when it was mentioned that he walked home from school a few times prior to him going to London. It was as if he was giving himself extra time to be expected to be home, and extra time to return home that Friday. Whatever happened to him in London is a mystery and my heart goes out to his parents, sister, family and loved ones ❤

I believe he went to London to meet someone he’d met closer to home, someone that was able to connect with his love for music, they sold him the idea of an unmissable opportunity in the city and told him to meet them there and promised him a lift home afterwards. Whatever the opportunity was, he thought he’d be home in time to cover his tracks but was sadly abducted and killed.

A credible theory. Police have said in subsequent documentaries that there were no records of Andrew ever using the internet, so an online groomer can be ruled out. This would suggest a planned meet with someone who Andrew knew in person. If I was a detective I'd be taking a closer look at the adults at Andrew's school and Scouts group in Doncaster. The reason for his uncharacteristic trip to London must surely be connected with his disappearance - it's highly unlikely that a 14-year-old would randomly leave home AND be the random subject of a stranger abduction in Central London.

This walk would have taken him over an hour! I think he had been talking to whoever it was luring him to London. 2 men were arrested on suspicion of trafficking Andrew about 4 months ago. I think they have found photos of him. Let's see what unfolds. There is NO WAY he went down to London to start a new life dressed in just a T Shirt and leaving nearly £100 in cash in his bedroom. Anyone that thinks he is slinking about London, sleeping rough is delusional. Everything points to him being dead. Without a body or somebody saying something, sadly, I don't think this will ever be solved
@@chadster123 I know this is a super old comment but Andrew had several phones between the ages of 10-12 but lost or broke them and when his parents offered a replacement he said he'd rather have an Xbox. So Andrew would have had to keep this phone hidden for 2 years or more and then head off to London. He also only walked home from school once, not several times.
I've always said Andrew was very much looking around for someone as he got off that train. I remember that look that excitement of meeting someone, looking around.

It's quite clear from what Andrew took or didn't take with him that day he didn't plan to run away from home. I also think that if his intention was to go/visit London on his own to see a particular band or attend a certain event he wouldn't have been so secretive & not told his parents. He had family in London, he'd been a few times before & his parents felt quite confident he knew his way around & knew how to contact or visit their family & friends that lived in London. As for the one way train ticket he bought I think whoever he had arranged to meet made him believe/convinced him they would drive & make sure he was home before anyone knew he was missing/skipped school. @@maxalberts2003 I am stationed in the State the Wells are in, i am not seeing the vast discrepancy you're with friends and family I know of thousands of missing persons cases in the US that can't get 'air' time for tv or social media I've also known this to happen in the UK where I live. The difference I do see is in the UK they are more respectful of personal information, so many people who finish their sentences for horrid high profile crimes are always allowed to legally have their name changed, in the US that is never hardly allowed.

It's been my experience that friends and families of people who go missing can step up and request publicity. Everyone handles their missing persons case differently. As for legally changing one's name, in some cases it's entirely up to a judge and is based on the kind of crime committed.

Andrew was not groomed he had no internet access, his father had stated this over and over, he never went out the door except school, i think he just went off for a few days in london, he was 14, hormones raging, after getting off the train at kings cross, he was spotted by who ever, he will have stuck out like a sore thumb, it was a school day, he was dressed in slipknot teeshirt, he was not street wise, he did not realise the dangers lurking, the child is dead, neither is he andyroo, he was not having a love affair with someone older, i wish the child had just gone to school, god knows who took him, but he is well gone, his father tried to hang himself a few times after andy went missing, the poor man, who the police tried to pin it on, wasting time instead of looking for andy, the police took a full month before checking cctv, which had been taped over by that point, its been 14 years since he disappeared.
How would his father know that Andrew had no internet access? It sounds like his parents didn't have a clue what was going on his life. They didn't even realise that Andrew was not in the house until it was time for dinner. The poor kid was obviously depressed but it seems that no-one asked him what was wrong.

@@Anna-JadeThey checked his Xbox account, Sony account, home computer and school library computer for evidence and found nothing - he didn’t even have a cell phone so it would be hard for him to be groomed or meeting someone online. Public free Wi-fi was extremely rare in 2007 and very limited so he would have a hard time to use his PSP to communicate with the person and it probably would only be via some jailbreak to access chat rooms on the low quality PSP web browser app without Sony noticing. He had internet access, but clearly showed little interest in it and nothing shows he was chatting with people so frequently he would plan meetups. It’s just weird that Andrew somehow would go to such lengths to scrub every trace of contact with the groomer in order to keep the meeting secret - but at the same time skip school and take all the consequences it provides which essentially would force him to admit to the meeting or where he was. There are significantly better ways of meeting people from online in secret without parents noticing, for example during the weekend and after school.
This doco was filmed 7 months after Andrew's disappearance. I noticed that his mother is already talking about him in the past tense. I thought that was unusual.
I don't believe his parents had anything to do with it. Andrew has planned it. I think he had enough of school and planned this in his head over the 6 weeks holidays. I remember being 14 and thinking I could do anything without realising how dangerous the world was. And the fact he is seen on CCTV alone at kings cross completely dismisses his parents having anything to do with him going missing
children are so vulnerable especially in London where you have so many predators. unfortunately i fear the worst probably shortly after he arrived in the metropolis.
I first heard about Andrew on a documentary I actually think it might of been this one when it was aired on tv. I then remember seeing his picture on the milk bottles after they bought it back and I remember reading in a newspaper that his parents had redone his room after so many years.
I believe he met someone at the university and they shared same interests for music he went to London for concert because he went back to get changed into slipnot t shirt usually people wear those type especially for concerts! The police should have investigated was there any type of concerts that week! And secondly he didn't get return ticket probably because he was offered lift home by that person! His dad said he wasn't Street smart and shy he probably believes everything that person said. Another theory is that he got lost in London and someone offered him lift home or help him find his way back and things escalated.. the police should have done more!! There's a lot of cameras in London!! For godsake he was seen sleeping on a bench that proves my point. He probably got lost there weren't maps on phones back then? My heart goes out to his family I keep thinking about them. And this poor lad!! He didn't run away
I have a similar feeling to you. He definitely was being different in the run up to him leaving and then when he came back from that uni trip he was apparently different, more jovial. I think it's possible an adult got their hooks in then and arranged to meet in London. As you say, his family say he wasn't street smart but he he pretended to leave for school, came back amd set his uniform up to look like he came home and got changed? Someone helped him come up with that. Those extra smart people don't think about stuff like that. I think he did think he was coming home though. I think he would have left a letter or took clothes or something if he didn't want to come back

That’s false. he never spent any time online. The police already checked the school computers, library computers etc and checked with Sony and they confirmed he didn’t have any online access

If you're not from the UK you may not know that accents vary a lot within the UK and not just by geographical location - for example, a middle-class person from Doncaster sounds different from a working-class person from Doncaster.
I believe he might of committed suicide or he’s being easy lead on by someone and they have taken him on board ever since 2008 . Worst thing is we may never know but while we’re still young and got technology around us let’s keep trying to find him

The few articles I read said it could take 6 mos to a year to analyze all electronics belonging to the accused. It’s going on a year now and I tend to agree with you. Had the arrests led to any information on AG, I believe LE would have disclosed that by now.
I've seen many documentaries of the Andrew Gosden case. According to one of them, the police, instead of checking CCTV footage of the London vicinity for his whereabouts, they spent the beginning part of their investigation interrogating the parents in their home. That was pathetic because in any missing person case, the first couple of hours are the most crucial for the investigation, regarding police checking CCTV, asking neighbours, asking passersby, the family posting fliers, etc..
Andrew really needs to be found but there is so much misinformation. Here are the facts confirmed by his dad. Andrew went to Lancaster uni to do a gifted and talented course a full year before his disappearance and NOT a month before. He didn’t use the internet and if he did, with the lack of using computers he wouldn’t have had the technical skill to really cover his tracks other than deleting his history. Andrew only walked hone once from school and NOT as a new routine. The only legitimate witness sighting that seemed to match Andrew was in a nearby Pizza Hut in Covent Garden where he was still alone. He carried his PSP with him and played on it whilst on the train. The PSP did not have connectivity to the internet and even if it did mobile websites weren’t really a thing back in those days and were basic at best. Trains did not really have WiFi during this time and if they did it was at a price. Andrew apparently ‘lost’ a couple of mobile phones. Phones were cheaper back then however it is slightly suspicious that he managed to lose 2 of them.
Andrew left under his own volition and clearly wanted to buy extra time by making it seem as though he had gone to school or he didn’t want to appear out of place in his uniform and wanted to avoid suspicion. It has been a long time since Andrew disappeared and I genuinely feel that he has left us. I do think he was groomed and under false pretences was asked to travel down to London which is far away enough and big enough to get lost in. What was he going to use the £200 to buy? One would think it was either going to be an expensive day out going to see something of interest OR the person that may have been involved had offered to sell him something of interest. I really hope he gets found soon.

The school did call. Unfortunately they left a voicemail on a wrong number. I just feel Andrew was let down with the phone call, missing/not working cctv etc. Also London has/had alot of predators operating, you can't help but wonder if Andrew fell victim.

I assume he was nowhere near London at the time of the last CCTV sighting, or we'd know by now. Unfortunately the only odd demeanour is Andrew himself, which is what makes this case so difficult.
I think that until a person has gone through the exact same thing a parent goes through when their child has gone missing it's unfair to make any kind of comment about that person. I can't believe with all the CCTV cameras they have around London that that was the only image of him after he got off the train.
BECAUSE they didn't look at the footage!! The corrupt cops took six weeks to ask for the footage, but by then it had been deleted.
The investigation moved so slowly that by the time attempts were made to check footage, the files had been overwritten.

@@maxalberts2003 I am stationed in the State the Wells are in, i am not seeing the vast discrepancy you're with friends and family I know of thousands of missing persons cases in the US that can't get 'air' time for tv or social media I've also known this to happen in the UK where I live. The difference I do see is in the UK they are more respectful of personal information, so many people who finish their sentences for horrid high profile crimes are always allowed to legally have their name changed, in the US that is never hardly allowed.

It's been my experience that friends and families of people who go missing can step up and request publicity. Everyone handles their missing persons case differently. As for legally changing one's name, in some cases it's entirely up to a judge and is based on the kind of crime committed.

Andrew was not groomed he had no internet access, his father had stated this over and over, he never went out the door except school, i think he just went off for a few days in london, he was 14, hormones raging, after getting off the train at kings cross, he was spotted by who ever, he will have stuck out like a sore thumb, it was a school day, he was dressed in slipknot teeshirt, he was not street wise, he did not realise the dangers lurking, the child is dead, neither is he andyroo, he was not having a love affair with someone older, i wish the child had just gone to school, god knows who took him, but he is well gone, his father tried to hang himself a few times after andy went missing, the poor man, who the police tried to pin it on, wasting time instead of looking for andy, the police took a full month before checking cctv, which had been taped over by that point, its been 14 years since he disappeared.
How would his father know that Andrew had no internet access? It sounds like his parents didn't have a clue what was going on his life. They didn't even realise that Andrew was not in the house until it was time for dinner. The poor kid was obviously depressed but it seems that no-one asked him what was wrong.
@@Anna-Jade yes I thought he might be depressed, the police contacted Sony, his psp had never connected to any WiFi, neither did he have a phone, they also said he never touched his sisters laptop, ive never read if the family had WiFi or not, I wish the lad had just gone to school, I hope this case is solved before I leave this earth
@@Anna-JadeThey checked his Xbox account, Sony account, home computer and school library computer for evidence and found nothing - he didn’t even have a cell phone so it would be hard for him to be groomed or meeting someone online. Public free Wi-fi was extremely rare in 2007 and very limited so he would have a hard time to use his PSP to communicate with the person and it probably would only be via some jailbreak to access chat rooms on the low quality PSP web browser app without Sony noticing. He had internet access, but clearly showed little interest in it and nothing shows he was chatting with people so frequently he would plan meetups.
It’s just weird that Andrew somehow would go to such lengths to scrub every trace of contact with the groomer in order to keep the meeting secret - but at the same time skip school and take all the consequences it provides which essentially would force him to admit to the meeting or where he was. There are significantly better ways of meeting people from online in secret without parents noticing, for example during the weekend and after school.

This doco was filmed 7 months after Andrew's disappearance. I noticed that his mother is already talking about him in the past tense. I thought that was unusual.

I don't believe his parents had anything to do with it. Andrew has planned it. I think he had enough of school and planned this in his head over the 6 weeks holidays. I remember being 14 and thinking I could do anything without realising how dangerous the world was. And the fact he is seen on CCTV alone at kings cross completely dismisses his parents having anything to do with him going missing

I first heard about Andrew on a documentary I actually think it might of been this one when it was aired on tv. I then remember seeing his picture on the milk bottles after they bought it back and I remember reading in a newspaper that his parents had redone his room after so many years.

I believe he met someone at the university and they shared same interests for music he went to London for concert because he went back to get changed into slipnot t shirt usually people wear those type especially for concerts! The police should have investigated was there any type of concerts that week! And secondly he didn't get return ticket probably because he was offered lift home by that person! His dad said he wasn't Street smart and shy he probably believes everything that person said. Another theory is that he got lost in London and someone offered him lift home or help him find his way back and things escalated.. the police should have done more!! There's a lot of cameras in London!! For godsake he was seen sleeping on a bench that proves my point. He probably got lost there weren't maps on phones back then? My heart goes out to his family I keep thinking about them. And this poor lad!! He didn't run away
I have a similar feeling to you. He definitely was being different in the run up to him leaving and then when he came back from that uni trip he was apparently different, more jovial. I think it's possible an adult got their hooks in then and arranged to meet in London. As you say, his family say he wasn't street smart but he he pretended to leave for school, came back amd set his uniform up to look like he came home and got changed? Someone helped him come up with that. Those extra smart people don't think about stuff like that. I think he did think he was coming home though. I think he would have left a letter or took clothes or something if he didn't want to come back

And the one way ticket meaning he didn’t plan on coming back, maybe he was afraid of what his family would think so it was sort of like a "act now, worry about it later" type of mindset? There's a TH-cam channel called that chapter that has done a episode about it. Apparently there's been some news of him being alive but it wasn't anything solid. Hope he's OK but it seems like he wouldn't be unfortunately

That’s false. he never spent any time online. The police already checked the school computers, library computers etc and checked with Sony and they confirmed he didn’t have any online access

I believe he might of committed suicide or he’s being easy lead on by someone and they have taken him on board ever since 2008 . Worst thing is we may never know but while we’re still young and got technology around us let’s keep trying to find him

I believe the arrests occurred last December/January.
The few articles I read said it could take 6 mos to a year to analyze all electronics belonging to the accused.
It’s going on a year now and I tend to agree with you.
Had the arrests led to any information on AG, I believe LE would have disclosed that by now.

I've seen many documentaries of the Andrew Gosden case. According to one of them, the police, instead of checking CCTV footage of the London vicinity for his whereabouts, they spent the beginning part of their investigation interrogating the parents in their home. That was pathetic because in any missing person case, the first couple of hours are the most crucial for the investigation, regarding police checking CCTV, asking neighbours, asking passersby, the family posting fliers, etc..
Andrew really needs to be found but there is so much misinformation. Here are the facts confirmed by his dad. Andrew went to Lancaster uni to do a gifted and talented course a full year before his disappearance and NOT a month before.
He didn’t use the internet and if he did, with the lack of using computers he wouldn’t have had the technical skill to really cover his tracks other than deleting his history.
Andrew only walked hone once from school and NOT as a new routine.
The only legitimate witness sighting that seemed to match Andrew was in a nearby Pizza Hut in Covent Garden where he was still alone.
He carried his PSP with him and played on it whilst on the train. The PSP did not have connectivity to the internet and even if it did mobile websites weren’t really a thing back in those days and were basic at best. Trains did not really have WiFi during this time and if they did it was at a price.
Andrew apparently ‘lost’ a couple of mobile phones. Phones were cheaper back then however it is slightly suspicious that he managed to lose 2 of them.
Andrew left under his own volition and clearly wanted to buy extra time by making it seem as though he had gone to school or he didn’t want to appear out of place in his uniform and wanted to avoid suspicion.
It has been a long time since Andrew disappeared and I genuinely feel that he has left us. I do think he was groomed and under false pretences was asked to travel down to London which is far away enough and big enough to get lost in. What was he going to use the £200 to buy? One would think it was either going to be an expensive day out going to see something of interest OR the person that may have been involved had offered to sell him something of interest.
I really hope he gets found soon.

The school did call. Unfortunately they left a voicemail on a wrong number. I just feel Andrew was let down with the phone call, missing/not working cctv etc. Also London has/had alot of predators operating, you can't help but wonder if Andrew fell victim.
It seems Andrew deliberately knew he would be missing by buying a one way ticket. I am sure he will be found eventually alive or dead. someone will come across something eventually.

I can't put my finger on it, but I'm sensing that there's something a bit odd about Andrew's father's demeanour.

I assume he was nowhere near London at the time of the last CCTV sighting, or we'd know by now. Unfortunately the only odd demeanour is Andrew himself, which is what makes this case so difficult.
I think that until a person has gone through the exact same thing a parent goes through when their child has gone missing it's unfair to make any kind of comment about that person. Put yourself in Andrew's father's place, imagine it was your child that did something completely out of character & never came home & never saw them again and a complete stranger posting unsavoury comments & subtle hints online that you did something bad to your missing child. How would that make you feel? I suggest you think about that before you post hateful & unfounded comments that intentionally hurt & cause them unecessary pain & suffering.... Shame on you!
