The problem with this is that established city centres will continue to suffer from population increase resulting in more congested roads and public transport dependency. Parramatta already has all the public transports and toll roads, so one interchange is not going cost too much time. Look at all those Asian metro stations, each line is independent of each other so one disruption won’t impact the other lines and people can choose to live in a small community without the worry of not having train access

@@electro_sykes People with mobility difficulties like the elderly may be better off being driven to the drop off point. If they need one, airports usually provide wheelchairs for them so they can get around more easily. Perhaps some can be kept ready for use at the metro station too. People who have lots of luggage can use trolleys, which can also be kept at the station, ready for those who arrive by train to use between there and check-in. These issues could also affect those who drive and park at the airport too, depending on how far away from the terminal they park. Big city airports cover quite a large area, so some walking is inevitable whilst there, regardless of how people get there.

The airport noise is easily solved.
Noise cancelling technology has existed for over 20 years.
The active noise cancellation can be purchased in head phones. But I am not talking headphones. Attach noise cancellation speakers to the wings of the aircraft and bingo no noise. I recall the jet motor noise cancellation being demonstrated on a TV program Towards 2000, over 20 years ago.
Simple, if Airlines want to land and takeoff after curfew then all they need do is have noise cancellation tech added to the aircraft. it should be fairly cheap.
Win for the Airline 24 hr operation. Win for the people under the flight paths, no noise. Win for the populous, job’s aplenty.
    It is a no brainer.

With such a small number of passengers, it wouldn’t be financially viable to built such a huge terminal when considering the ongoing maintenance costs. By mid-2030, it will expand and a second runway on the opposite side. All airports I’ve been to have their metro stations at least 5-10mins walk to the checkin/arrival hall.
