Land is very tricky. Note there is a component of maintainence, the governing environment vi's a vi's the Land ministry is definitely a very high risk investment. If you get it right, then you are good to go. So it depends on the treshholds of your risk appetite.

Correction. Inflation eats on your savings. 1000 shillings today will be worth less than 1000 1 month down the line. I hope that the interest income on the savings is enough to compensate the saver for loss in value caused by inflation. But when all is said and done saving for a rainy day is good practice

The SACCO Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) regulates SACCO Societies in Kenya not Central Bank
