Woof, that is a blinged out deck. Glad to see this deck get more attention with the support. I really like a more going second and board breaking approach like this.
I first started playing mermail after seeing the video you made 2/3 months ago where you explained your vision about the deck being more of a midrange deck and not a combo heavy deck. I love your videos. Now I almost OTP Mermail. I think the deck is still a going first deck because it loses hard against an established board+droll. That’s why I’d prefer going first and play only ht to prevent my opponent board or to let them use droll in their turn to prevent me from drawing with mulchurmys and not in mine to stop me from playing. Droll is very played now with the new meta assesting and with mitsurugi running around, so both going first and playing coelacanth are things I think are mandatory. Anyway, the important thing at the end is to have fun and if you prefer going second who am I to stop you! Keep up with the nice content bro!
Thank you! I'm happy to hear that. If you expect Droll then a version like this would be more hurt, as opposed to a going 1st variant with more handtraps and Coelacanth to push through. It all depends on how the metagame shapes up!
I would recommend Metaltronus in the side. Not only can it negate dweller, but you also get to summon a sea serpent from deck/extra. They can dodge it with detonator, but usually their endboards are either detonator or dweller
Good point! My only issue with Metaltronus is that if you use it on Dweller they can chain Detonator and then chain Dweller to that. Which pure will always get to if you let them full combo, but I could see it being very good vs Fiendsmith Ryzeal or if you pair it with a chummy to deter them from making both.
Test hands with a going 2nd deck is quite hard to properly simulate. If you want combo guides I made a previous deck profile of Mermail when ROTA was released. You can search it up on my channel and find various DB replays
Good deck profile but not the best version yet competitive wise. Deepsea king is still a great card also for going 2nd OTK. The main reason is it helps you create boards under dshifter. And what works under dshifter works even better under dweller.
I think it's a fine choice for locals or Regionals. But for events like a YCS you would be playing against a lot more Ryzeal which can and will make Dweller vs Mermails. It's a solid tier 2 deck in my opinion.
Blind second seems absurd to me, if ryzeal goes dweller u lose g 1 and only have 3 cards to out it post side. Also u have no plan against droll and shifter without coelacant, so the maliss match up is really hard .
Ryzeal will not go for Dweller against what they expect is Tenpai. Coelcacanth isn’t very good vs Shifter, which most Maliss players have dropped. And Droll see little to no play.
@@FrozenCardGamingactually droll is being main decked now post suda, since it hits a lot of new decks like mitsu, crystron etc. Maliss also sometimes mains shifter
The meta is ever evolving! If we see an uptick in Droll Coelacanth could be a worthy include again with 3 Pike, but then you would need to change around the deck for that
I did 2 in-person combos for my initial Mermail video when Rage of the Abyss dropped. I also have half a dozen or so DB replays showcasing various combos and what you can do through handtraps. So just search the channel for that Mermail video and you'll find the replays!

Mermails, GB, and hero’s always bring me back to this game
Lucky for you Supreme Darkness has all three of those covered! Even HAT & Edison format has some of those decks in their original form
love your deck list can you please do a shark deck , deck list please !
can we get some test hands?

Question what if I don't have fuwalos and only have 3 purulia
In the meantime I'd just play the 3 Purulia and 2 copies of Triple Tactics Talent in place of them.
RC Stampede is right around the corner!

No sound 😢
That must be on your end, the sound is working just fine

@FrozenCardGaming there s a real possibility droll and shifter will come back for mitsurugi, Also they're already been played at least in side.

@@violinher0true about droll, also deepseaking is a good play under dshifter and dweller.
